LXVIII: Imitating

1053 Words
The shield that Seraphim had used, now held in front of her and protecting herself, stopped the rain of knives. Seraphim looked at Edith. Edith frowned and could not help but ask, “How can you do that?” The smiling girl scratched her chin, and with a smile, she said, “The spell that I have allows me to repeat the last power I saw... it is a very good spell!” Edith stared at her with narrowed eyes. Seraphim was glaring at the woman as she raised her hand, but Edith suddenly stopped her movement. Seraphim looked at Edith in question. “You believe that crap?” Seraphim asked. Just as she Seraphim spoke, the huntress said, “Cult Pluvia!” A huge shower of knives bolted towards them. Edith stood in front of Seraphim, and crossing her arms in front of her face, and she said, “Guardianship!” Her skin hardened, but the knives still caused damage to her skin, Edith received the attack from her, and some knives were embedded inside her, but when she fell, she looked at Seraphim. She saw the huntress in front of her and wondered. “So, then you repeat the last power you see, isn’t it?” She ran towards the huntress, who raised her hands to put herself on guard when Seraphim walking with force hit her directly in her face. The young woman had activated the spell that Edith used, and holding the blow was easy, but it was far from everything. Seraphim hit her stomach with a kick and then threw a right hit to her cheek, knocking her to the ground. The girl realized that the witch did not plan to use more spells, and raising her hands, began to fight back. The blows traveled in two directions, but Seraphim’s wounds were quite serious, and when the young woman saw her, she hit the witch’s stomach, making her recoil. Seraphim took a deep breath, and the smiling huntress said, “You are in no condition to do this... use your magic. Maybe you can win in one fell swoop.” Seraphim raised her hand, and the girl imitated her. She was ready to use the same power that the witch would use when Edith raised, said, “Personalis Verberibus!” The girl looked at her, and imitating the attack, she prepared to attack Edith, but the witch who had made the spell received a huge amount of cuts on her body. The huntress, by imitating the spell, also received many cuts on her body, and backing away as she stumbled, she looked at Edith, who was smiling. The situation had changed, now Seraphim, despite her injuries, was in better condition, and with speed, she hit the woman’s chest with force, throwing her to the ground. The huntress smiled as another of the hunters Edith had attacked stood up across the street. He took a potion from his pocket, and ingesting it, the effects of it manifested. His hands began to release a liquid that, when it came into contact with the ground, released smoke. “Dammit!” Seraphim loudly cursed when she saw this.   The huntress who was imitating stood up and, looking at Seraphim, said, “Go, use your powers, girl!” Seraphim looked in both directions. Without a doubt, she would have to use some spell to contain the man who was approaching slowly. Edith falling to the ground from all the wounds she had, looked at the sky. From the top of the tower, Stella felt like the body of his sister was weakening, death-haunted that place, and closing her eyes, she said, “Dominic! Please save them!” Dominic, at the top of the building where the sniper was, looked in Edith’s direction. His right arm was charred, he couldn’t move it a bit, and very patiently, he said, “You have to give me another power... in my last fight, I made a mistake and ended up roasting my arm... I need the doctor.” He, smilingly, looked up at the sky, and sitting on the edge of the building with the corpse of the sniper next to him, he said, “Well, if you don’t, you can say goodbye to your sister! Also, if they are injured, I will still need that power to heal them anyway.” Stella, at the top of the window, hit the glass hard, shattering it, and calmly said, “This will be the last power I give you!” Dominic laughed, and taking the sniper girl’s arm, and he said, “Whatever you say. But hurry up. Your sister needs you.” Stella, very angry at Dominic’s words, joined the tips of her fingers and released the third power of the demigod. She released the healer. Dominic felt the seal in the lower part of his back open and saw his arm, and this one glowed in golden light to end up looking like new. With a smile and even with the sniper girl’s arm in his hand, he said, “This feels great!!” Stella, on the brink of collapse, looked out the window and calmly said, “Move already!!” Dominic taking flight, leaped to everything he gave. His jump was tremendous. He moved very far from the building and landed on another one, cracking the roof and destroying his legs in pieces, but with the new power, he healed them instantly, and he jumped again until repeating the effect several times and falling into the street where Edith was. When he landed, the hunter looked at the power that this young man had and smiling, and she said, “You are dead!!” Seraphim opened her eyes when she, using Dominic’s power, lunged towards Seraphim. The young woman watched her approach and the huntress’s hand embedded in the girl’s stomach. Seraphim spat out a huge amount of blood as she fell back and knelt on the ground. Her wound had been tremendous, and the huntress was about to finish her off when a spear embedded itself in the huntress’s chest, instantly driving her back. She had the spear embedded in her chest while Seraphim watched as the blood from her stomach kept coming out. Edith, from where she was, screamed, “No!!!”
