LXXXVIII: Fighting Harpies

Joshua, with his injured hand, looked up, his body reeling from the blow and looking ahead as the rain washed the blood from his wound. He asked, “How did you kill my father?!” Gerard roared when he heard that and saw what his enemy said, “Do you have to repeat that every time? Yes, that’s how we killed him. My father wanted to be an alpha, and the betrayal was justifiable.” Joshua looked up and said, “It was? Betray the one who protected you, betrayed, or to the one who taught you everything you know? For that man who never looked at you with affection?” Gerard was highly disturbed. He looked at Joshua and angrily said, “What does that have to do with this? Not all of us have the happiness of being loved by everyone like you… but I will have it, and I will achieve it with my own claws when I kill you and become an alpha!“ Joshua smiled and calmly said, “But it’s not you who will become an alpha, are you? Think about it, do you think you are the one who will receive respect and love? So you think?” Gerard looked at Joshua with palpable anger. All the memories of his body were registered in his eyes, and howling loudly, he transformed into the huge white wolf that he was, roaring. He looked at Joshua with his blue eyes and determined to fulfill the mission, and he pounced on him. Joshua took a deep breath, and as he looked up, he shook his head, the wolf’s jaws were salivating, and his teeth were showing before him. His skin was the place where those sharp fangs would pierce to tear the flesh as much as it would tear the life of the one who, before his eyes, I steal what belonged to him. But Joshua letting out a loud sigh, saw his wolf go through the wall and intersect Gerard just before he could attack him, they both rolled on the ground and bit each other using all their might, but Joshua’s black wolf was incredibly more powerful and subduing Gerard used his claws to hold his head against the ground when he said, “This is the only possible ending for you, Gerard!” The man was transformed by the pressure of Joshua’s wolf, and seeing his enemy standing next to him, he said, “A gift of devotion ... you do not stop evolving, how someone like me could reach you ... that’s absurd” looking at the sky, his tears intertwined with the rain, and without stopping, he said, “I have nothing, how could I reach you how could I be venerated as your!” Joshua slowly approached him and said, “You were revered, you and I were friends, you were someone I trusted, how could you betray me and betray my father like that ... everyone disowns you for who you are and who you are is a decision that only you made Gerard!” Gerard was looking at Joshua, said, “My father is going to die at the hands of a vampire… I know. I see it in that man’s eyes. The only thing that interests him is to be a witness to the moon, and he will betray us, do not let a dirty vampire kill my father. He must fall by the hands of a rival worthy of a wolf. He must fall by your hands.” Joshua looking directly at him, shook his head, raising his arm. His spear flew out of the place where he was and reached him in a matter of seconds when Joshua calmly said, “Killing my father was what sealed his fates. You and your father will fall by my hand!” Terrified, Gerard was being held by the black wolf, and with force, it opened its jaws to bite him and end his suffering. The man closed his eyes when a voice near them was heard and said, “That is an interesting trick! Although I must be honest, I was the one who wanted to kill him.” Joshua moved his face to see a vampire with long hair and a ghoulish smile standing over a house, saying, “Get it over with, and there’s something I want to ask you!” Joshua looked at the vampire, and Gerard stirred from the ground. Joshua let him go, and pulling his wolf back inside, he looked at the guy as he asked, “Who are you?” The man saw it and smiling said, “I am Keith, but what I want, I must show you!” And they were creating a sword he prepared to fight with both wolves at that precise moment. On the wall, Erika and Seraphim continued to fight hard, but the battle was far from over, all the enemies were crowding together, and the witch on the other side prevented the arrows from reaching her companions. Seraphim saw how the harpies flew and dropped the enemies inside the wall and saw Erika pointed to the sky as she said, “We must stop that!” Erika saw it and threw with her bow. She missed, the harpies were flying too high, and it was impossible to reach them from that place. Seraphim thought he could do it when Edith’s voice rang out loudly in her head, “Don’t worry, Seraphim, and I’ll take care of the heavens!” Seraphim smiled, and Edith sitting in front of the pedestal, said, “Current Toxit!” And activating its power on the shining pedestal, the nines above that place moved due to magic, and the witch, seeing what was happening, began to notice how the air above the heads of all of them changed. Edith maintained a current high enough only to affect the harpies, and when they rose to escape, the arrows entered the stream, and everyone who entered it was poisoned and fell on their faces uncontrollably. The harpies began to stop, and Seraphim smilingly looked at Erika. She nodded and prepared all the archers to kill the harpies that were flying low. If they tried to put people inside the wall flying further down the current, they would find the arrows of the archers, and in that way, the invasion stopped a bit.
