LXVI: Killing Intentionally

The cut pieces of the motorcycle fell in all places while he, landing something far away, watched as his motorcycle was sliced.

With his sight, he saw in all directions, and he could not find the person who had caused that, and rising to his full height, he closed his eyes and began to sniff the air. While he felt the aromas of that hill, a different aroma reached his nose.

The werewolf smiled. He then shook his head, and without waiting, he took his spear, and with the strength he possessed, he threw it at full speed towards some hidden bushes on the top of a hill.

The spear flew at full speed, and at that moment, a woman rolling on her back came out to the view.

She had a katana clutched in her hand and was looking in Joshua’s direction with a smile.

As she got up, she said with unmasked amazement, “Not only did you dodge my surprise attack, but you also found me in a fraction of seconds. You are an amazing guy.”

Joshua looked at her without replying. Instead, he opened his hand and then made his spear return to him.

She, seeing that, could not believe it and was astonished. With eyes full of interest, she said, “That is really something incredible.”

Joshua looked at her with a frown. He then pointed the tip of his spear at her and said in displeasure, “Are you crazy? Attacking people without knowing who they are... you could have killed me.”

She chuckled and looked at him with a smirk before replying, “That was the intention, silly...”

When saying that, the girl advanced. Her hair was completely white to the waist. She wore a pair of jeans with leather boots almost to the knees and a jacket that covered her white blouse.

With a smile, she took the handle of her katana and said, “You see, if you are here... it means that you are a magical creature, a sorcerer or something like that... because otherwise, you would enter limbo. That is the spell we use to blockade the city...”

The woman looked directly at him and added, “You are a man, and you came here... you must be that werewolf who is with Edith... you killed one of us... you shouldn’t have done that.”

She wouldn’t stop smiling, but her movements were threatening. Joshua was calm. She had a sword, but she was too far to reach him. However, she had managed to cut the bike from far away.

Maintaining caution, Joshua looked at her and asked, “How did you manage to cut the motorcycle?”

She was smiling as she said,  “Like this!”

And with a quick movement, she made a vertical cut in the direction of Joshua. A quick reflection appeared on him and lifting his spear, and he felt her cut colliding with it.

The impact was strong, and if it hadn’t been for the spear, a great wound would have opened on him.

Joshua looked at her again and tried to get closer to her, but she, making a series of quick cuts in every direction in front of him, forced the werewolf to raise the spear and stop her attacks.

Each attack advanced towards him, and seeing their reflections, he tried to stop them all with the spear, but one managed to penetrate his defense and make a small cut in Joshua’s thigh.

Joshua felt the pain in his thigh, the wound did not close instantly, and the girl smiling said, “My sword is an alloy of steel and silver... it seemed like a good idea.”

Joshua angrily threw the spear, the young woman managed to narrowly dodge it, but at that moment, she lost sight of the werewolf who was jumping on her.

She saw him in the air and prepared to make an attack, but Joshua’s spear returned to him quickly and stretching the tip of it, he tried to stab the young woman.

The woman jumped back to avoid the thrust, but when the spear touched the ground, Joshua used it to throw himself towards the girl.

She raised her sword to defend herself, but Joshua changed movements in the air, and finite a claw to then kick the legs of the young woman and take her off balance.

She lost her balance and Joshua calling his spear once more, made a horizontal attack that the young woman stopped with the blade of her sword, but due to her poor balance, she flew out until landing on the ground abruptly.

Joshua moved very fast before the young woman could recover, and getting up, and she threw a horizontal cut that Joshua evaded at the moment, and with his hand, he took the young woman’s neck to lift her off the ground and forcefully crash her against the floor.

She tried to use her sword, but Joshua stepping on her hand managed to stop the movement and reduce the size of his spear.

He placed the edge on the girl’s face and said, “This is over... tell me, where is the gathering point of your people.”

The girl had trouble breathing, but at that very moment, her gaze darkened, and blue veins came out around her face.

Joshua saw her transform, and with some bewilderment, he saw how she touched his chest with her free hand, and a huge explosion appeared from them, throwing Joshua many meters into the air and making him fall to the ground.

The explosion had been very strong, and the pain in Joshua’s chest did not go away, his wound healed, but the pain persisted.

Getting up, he saw the young woman, in her leg an injected syringe with her loose hand rested, and she, taking off that needle and taking her sword, said, “Seriously, having physical strength must be wonderful... you magical creatures are delighted with these benefits, and that’s why you sell your soul.”
