XLVIII: A Night Before The Separating (1)

The truck in which they were mobilizing was quite damaged, but it was no problem to get one of the vehicles in that deserted town near the mine where the vampire nest was located.

Gerard had retired, but now after Joshua’s transformation, the message had been sent. Those who were loyal to him would have to leave the pack, and it would be at a crossroads.

Without a doubt, this would lead to a power struggle, but now Joshua was aware of who he was and wasn’t about to let go of what his father fought so hard for.

When the young men managed to find a truck, they all came together to decide their fate. Now Seth was with them, and soon, a great battle for the dominance of the pack would break out.

He needed to establish a plan of action. Joshua then said seriously, “Seth, you will come with us. When we are near the northern region where my mother’s pack gathers, you will deviate and wait for the loyal wolves to guide them to that place, okay?”

Seth gulped, the responsibilities of being second to the Alpha were enormous, but he wouldn’t disappoint his partner.

While looking at him respectfully, he nodded and smiling, and he said, “I will without a doubt!”

Joshua smiled and then, looking at Edith, said, “You have to talk to your sister, you need to find the man who is placing the anti-magic seals, and that’s hunting you, so I think the best option, for now, is for us to split!”

Edith didn’t like the idea, but it was actually the most efficient thing to do.

Looking at Joshua and nodding, she said, “I don’t like the idea of us all being separated, but for the moment, it would be the most efficient, although you shouldn’t go alone to your mother.”

Joshua looked at her, and seeing Seth, he nodded, calmly looking at Edith again as she warned, “Ideally, we could communicate. You can communicate with Seth through your connection, but if you turn into a wolf, even those who are against you will know where you are. That can’t be good.”

At that moment, Eleanor, who was still somewhat stunned by what happened, raised her hand, looking at Edith, and said, “If I am with him, I could maintain the connection between everyone, right? It is my specialty.”

Edith nodded and looking at Seraphim, and she said, “You could come with me! You are also interested in who gave the anti-magic seal to the man who killed your sister, aren’t you?”

Seraphim nodded, and Nate seeing her, said, “In that case, I will also go! If there are more enemies with anti-magic seals, you could use my help!”

Edith nodded and smiled while looking at Joshua, and she said, “In that case, we will arrive at Pine City, and we will divide. I will go with my sister and you for your mother. Once I have the information, I will go to you.”

Joshua looked directly at her as he nodded. They all agreed to the plan of action and then ate while talking. At one point in the conversation, Edith walked away from her, looking at the sky, and Joshua went towards her.

As the young woman concentrated on the desert sky, she gazed at the stars when she felt the strong hands of the werewolf around her waist.

She smiled at the feel of her breath on her neck as the man said, “I don’t know if I can spend a long time without you...”

She smiled, grabbed his hands, and let her head rest on Joshua’s chest as she said, “I wish I could ignore everything and dedicate myself to being with you...”

Joshua smiled and turning her to look into her eyes. He said, “I don’t think you would be you, and I would be me if we ignore our responsibilities.”

She let out a snort as she smiled and saw Joshua. Approaching her lips, she kissed him slowly as she put her foreheads together with his, saying, “Just once wouldn’t kill us.”

Joshua squeezed her gently, and Edith felt her temperature rise. Her nails began to dig into the wolf’s skin which was so hard it seemed it couldn’t be penetrated. Then she said with a heated expression, “If tomorrow we will need to be separated... then… today we can be together….”

Upon hearing her words, Joshua’s body stiffened.

“Are… Are you sure?” He asked with a gaze full of heated hope. His body was tense as if he did control himself from just jumping at her.

Edith meekly nodded her head. She looked down to avoid his stare.

He growled low, and Edith could hear his heavy breathing as his chest moved, as if he was having a hard time doing so.

Edith frowned. She was about to ask him what was going when he suddenly lifted her up.

With speed, they both entered one of the houses in that desolate town. Her kisses were so passionate that they made the temperature rise while her skin rose, making the contrast of colors.

She fell on the bed where he put her, and he, with force but delicacy, threw himself on her. With his lips, he ran over her skin while, with his strong hands, he kept the young woman captured.

Edith smiled, she was completely useless against Joshua’s force, but with a mischievous smile, she said, “Supernatet….”

Her eyes shone black when they were both surrounded by a red seal, and their bodies began to rise, and she smiled when her legs wrapped around the body of the wolf.

He, with determination, passed his lips over the skin of the girl. Suddenly he felt the ceiling colliding with his back.

Joshua winced in surprise before he fell to the ground. He could not help but grin as he looked at Edith with anticipation.
