XCVI: Saving

1020 Words
Nate was starting to bleed from his mouth, and it was clear that the wound was more than enough to end his life, and despite his powers, he would not survive. Seraphim couldn’t take it anymore. She tried to heal him anyway, but his powers weren’t enough, and with her hands full of blood, she touched Nate’s face as he said, “Do not cry! This is just a scratch… I’ve had many like this!” She couldn’t just ignore him, and it was obvious that she was reaching the end of her and placing her bloody hands on the boy’s face. She said, “You can not go away! You can’t leave me, not now that we’re together! That is not fair!! You can not go away!” Nate smiled. He looked at her with tenderness, and just looking at her eyes eased the terrible pain in her abdomen. He raised her hand and touched Seraphim’s tearful face. He said, “I wish you could see how he won... that would have been epic!” She shook her head and tearfully said, “I know you are strong clumsy! How many times have you saved me already?” Nate, looking at her, smiled, and she said through tears, “You don’t need to prove anything to me!” Seeing her sigh and enduring a strong wave of pain, he said, “I never saved you! The day I saw you in that cave. That day you saved me from the darkness that surrounded me. You are my fighting spirit… meeting you was what made this life worthwhile!” And with those words, her eyes closed. Seraphim cried deeply, and hitting her chest, she tried to bring him back, but nothing seemed to work. Nate slowly left the world, and she saw him looking at the sky complaining. At that moment, as a message from God himself, she opened her eyes and saw it said, “He’s half a vampire!” Eleonor looked at her, and, nodding, she said, “It is!” She looked at Nate and said, “If he is half a vampire ... it means that as a vampire, blood is the source of his life!” Eleonor didn’t know what she was referring to when biting her lip. Seraphim began to bleed, and her crimson red lip quickly approached Nate’s lips that were already losing their warmth. The kiss was deep and pleasant, and the blood of the witch entered the mouth of the boy who, losing his life, opened his eyes, hugging Edith tightly. He brought her close to him sharply while he drank her blood from her lip. Her mind went blank, and her wound was beginning to heal when he walked away saw her. Seraphim remained exhausted and looking ahead, and he could see everything clearly. In all those years that he had been alive, he had never been able to drink blood, but the feeling he now had was of absolute power, something he had never felt. Her mind blank of hers was the key, and she could feel all the beings in that place. Her eyes widened when looking up. She said, “Edith!” And without wasting time, he shot toward her. His speed was superior, and before leaving the room, he stopped and, seeing Seraphim pointed at her. From the shadow, a hand rose, and taking Seraphim’s hand, and he said, “Don’t move from this place!” And with those words, he fled to meet a man who, like him, was something that had never been seen before in the world. Gerard and Joshua looked in all directions. Cecil seemed to be playing with them, but now that they could follow their movements, the Vampire chose his targets more carefully. Joshua tried to feel his now, and when he found it, he would throw himself on an image with force to eliminate it. But he always managed to escape. The same thing happened with Gerard. Neither of them could place him enough that he could be caught, but before the fight could continue, both Joshua and Gerard felt what was coming. The wall was destroyed, and from the air, a huge wolf fell in the middle of the three combatants. Cecil looked at him smiling when his landing generated an impulse that made everyone present to cover their faces. Calmly looking in all directions, Maximiliano looked at Joshua, his ultimate prey, the reason why all this made sense, and it was right in front of him. But next to him, Gerard seemed to team up with the wolf. Without clearly understanding what was happening, Maximiliano stood up and, seeing his son. He asked, “Would you mind explaining to me what the hell are you doing on Joshua Gerard’s side?” Gerard held a breath, and looking at the front, he pointed to Cecil, the Vampire did not stop smiling, and when Maximiliano saw him waving his hand, he greeted him. Maximiliano looked at his son again and, with an authoritative voice, said, “Did you go completely crazy? How are you going to attack a member of our guard to save that traitor?” Joshua felt anger rise inside him and saw Maximiliano said, “It’s very funny that you particularly speak of traitors!” Maximiliano roared, making the rain around him stop for a second, and looking at Joshua, he said, “Enjoy the words that come out of your mouth, and they will be the last!” Cecil, calmly behind him, said, “Maximiliano if you don’t mind, I’ll go do what I came to do, okay?” Maximiliano smiled and said, “Finish off that b***h! Maybe tonight, his whole disgusting family will be dead!” Joshua understood instantly what that man wanted to do, and jumping with a speed, he tried to reach Cecil, but Maximiliano, standing in front, waved his arm and made him hit the ground, stopping his movements. Joshua fell to the ground dizzy from the force of that wolf and looked ahead, and he watched Cecil walk away.
