He looked at him and calmly shook his head, his smirk showing that he fervently believed that victory was his, but looking ahead and seeing how his partner got up, he said, “You will stay calm, and you will not move a muscle!”
Nate watched as the shape-shifter got up and placed the mouth of a rattlesnake around his hand. He was willing to poison it to take him out. When Edith looked at the boy, he touched Tommy’s body, but she couldn’t speak to cast the spell.
Nate could see her and hurriedly said, “Loosen her throat a bit. Can’t you see that she can’t breathe?”
But at that moment, the hunter smiled and said to him, “Don’t move then.”
Nate was completely angry when the shape-shifter used the snake’s mouth to bite his arm. Nate thought about using his power, but at that moment, Edith’s neck was tightened even more, Nate stopped, and the fangs of the rattlesnake penetrated his skin.
He felt the effects of the poison with speed, and turning his body into a bear, the man stood up with force and gave a powerful blow that sent Nate flying until he crashed on top of a car.
Tommy was grinning at his victory. When seeing his partner, he nodded and said for Nate to listen.
“These will be your friend’s last words!”
By letting her speak, the first words Edith said were, “Moveres Temperatus!”
The boy tried to squeeze her again, but it was too late. His body temperature began to rise a lot, her power activated already raised his temperature a lot, and now his skin began to burn.
He let go of Edith by the intense heat he felt. He fell to his knees and looked at the witch with disbelief.
“There is more than one way to die, you bastard!” She said with unmasked annoyance.
His body began to succumb to his own body heat, and from all his pores, a huge amount of steam came out.
The man could not bear the temperature he had, and looking at Edith, he yelled, “B*tch!”
But with those words, the man fell, and Edith watched as the other hunter pounced on her. She was exhausted, and due to the lack of oxygen, she could barely control her movements.
The man who was coming for her had transformed his body into a completely male lion body.
His claws and jaw opened when he came close to her, ready to eliminate her, but at that moment, Nate appeared behind her, shoving his shadow-covered arm inside the man’s body and then returning it to normal.
When that happened, the subject’s ribs and vertebrae were broken and looking at Edith, and she could feel Nate’s hand taking his spine. The half-vampire looked at him with anger.
As he squeezed the spine with all the strength he was capable of, he said, “You almost killed me! But I killed you.”
And with those words, he pulled the arm with force tearing the inside of the hunter. The man died instantly.
Nate sent Edith a look of displeasure before he said, “These guys are tough.”
They both sat on the ground, and it was Nate who, looking towards the subway, said, “We should look for Seraphim!”
Edith nodded and helped each other, and they got up as they walked towards the subway. Seraphim was smashed, her wounds were deep, but she was smiling when she said, “I managed to kill that asshole!”
They both smiled, and she fell to her knees and spat a little more blood. Her injuries were serious, and Edith was exhausted. The one in the best condition was Nate when suddenly his body collapsed on the ground. He began to convulse.
Edith hurriedly placed her hand on his back and said, “Bloodberries! Mortem!”
Nate stopped convulsing and Seraphim, who had the boy in his arms, looking at Edith, asked, “What happened? What did you do?”
She looked at her calmly and took a deep breath, and she said, “This is not good! They poisoned him, I thought he could bear it being half-vampire, but it seems that the poison did affect him. If we don’t do something, he will die. For now, I’ll delay death with my spell, but that is not permanent, and it takes a lot of magic. We must find someone who can heal him soon!”
Seraphim picked him up and tried to carry him, and she was looking at Edith and then at the tower in the center when she said, “Your sister, she sure can save him!”
Edith looked at her apprehensively, it was not sure that her sister could help him, but they had no other options. With that in mind, the two of them picked up the boy and began to walk.
The central tower was still far away, and she could still hear battles in the distance. No, there was no doubt that something else was going on.
Tommy hadn’t told her everything, the hunters had something else to take care of, and for that reason, they didn’t flood the streets like they had in the beginning. Someone was causing serious trouble.
In one of the main posts, a man was looking at the numbers. Shaking his head and seeing lower-ranking hunters, he said, “These witches are quite troublesome, and maybe I should take care of myself.”
All the hunters looked at him with wide and amazing eyes. Getting up, he took his white overcoat and placed it around his body, and he looked at a girl with long white hair and a white suit complete with a sword in hand as he said, “Emily! We ourselves will take care of these renegades and the witches. Walk.”
The girl nodded efficiently and took the sword, and she prepared to enter the battle.
