XXVIII: Jasmine

Just as she said that, her hands caught fire. Calmly everyone began to move. Edith, little by little lost visibility.

“Visaitenedris!” She muttered.

And her eyes were covered with black energy, and the darkness allowed her to see in the cave with the clarity of day when in front of them, a huge Vampire appeared. He was a giant guy with muscles made of marble, and his head rose against the ceiling of the cave.

“Now the food is coming home ... this gets better and better,” he said while smiling, showing his bloody teeth. There he red-hot veins showed on his neck that only proved that he had ingested so much human blood that it was beginning to modify his body.

And with the incredible speed he pounced on Seraphim, the girl raised her hands to defend herself, but it was too late, the vampire’s speed surprised her, and when he was about to hit her, the spear mallet hit the vampire’s face instantly making him fall to the ground hard.

Then Joshua burying his spear in the vampire’s chest made it disappear. Seeing it, Seraphim said, “I didn’t need your help!”

Joshua nodded when Edith putting her hand on the boy’s back, and she said, “The spear can shrink up to fifty centimeters and lengthen up to three meters. Useful in this situation.”

Joshua smiled when he said, “This has it all!” And shrinking the spear, he prepared to advance.

As they entered the cave, another vampire was considerably smaller than the first appeared before them when he said, “We were waiting for you!”

And with those words, he buried his hands in the ground and with force opened three holes that came out under the feet of Edith and her friends. They all fell at once, but a second before falling, Edith said, “Rursus Caput!”

And the head of the vampire right in front of them began to spin until it detached from his body, this vampire was vaporizing, but they were already falling into the holes.

With force, Edith tried to hold on to the walls, but it was very difficult. When the ground was close, she felt that the blow would hurt her but did not realize that she was falling into an underground lake.

She made a lot of effort she managed to get out of the water and to look ahead she saw a completely flooded cave and in the middle of the lake a woman with a harp, the woman was standing on the water and Edith climbing on a stone with difficulty saw her.

The woman was playing a tune that was quite beautiful when she saw Edith. She said, “I have nothing against witches ... that is why I apologize for what I will do.”

Edith looked at her, puzzled.

The woman then placed both feet on the surface of the water before she said, “I am Jasmine! And you will be my guest! “

Edith stood upon the stone and looking directly at her face, and she said, “That on your shoulder is an anti-magic seal, isn’t it?”

The woman nodded and, placing her harp beside her, said, “Another reason to apologize ... but now it’s time to die!”

Edith was on the rock, looking straight ahead with determination as to the vampire in front of her started walking on water. The woman held a harp in her hand, and when she dropped it, she sank into the water without problems.

She did not make noise of any kind, nor did she disturb the water that gave a strange blue glow from below. Edith canceled her spell of seeing in the dark and realized that the whole place was lit by strange blue crystals from the bottom.

The cave was almost all water, with the exception of some protruding rocks from the lake. Above her was still the rock hole through which Edith had fallen and around her fixed walls that showed no escape routes.

“You are a very smart woman, looking for an escape route or to level the fight, I must applaud your attempt, but the truth is that the only way out of this place is underwater!” Jasmine said while smiling smugly.

With those words, she opened a hole in the water, moving her wrist, and showed a cave that opened at the bottom of the lake, Edith looking at this, gave a resigned sigh when she said, “That’s quite troublesome ... I didn’t know vampires could use magic!”

Jasmine grinned and said, “We cannot! Magic is the energy of life, and clearly, as we are dead, we cannot use any magic, but the god of the night blessed us with gifts afterlife.”

The woman raising the water a little just at the point where she was as if she were standing in a fountain added, “For example, I can control the water at will...”

The news was terrible for Edith. Without a doubt, this fight would be problematic, and she was getting ready. She said, “Is there any way you can let me out of this place quietly?”

Jasmine made a reverence and calmly said, “I’m very sorry, but the old one has asked us to finish you and everyone else, so with all due respect, I will have to end your life.”

The woman stared at her, and with a smile, she said, “Without any more preambles!”

And with force, she lifts the water around the rock, submerging Edith in a column of water, the witch could hardly move inside the column, and clearly, the oxygen was running out. Being underwater, she could not speak; therefore use her magic would be impossible.

But looking up, she observes how the water did not reach the ceiling and swimming she try to reach the highest part where she could put her head out, the vampire noticed and tried to cut the exit but the hole through which Edith had fallen extends over her, and it was impossible to prevent her from taking oxygen.

Canceling the attack, she saw Edith fall to the ground with difficulty breathing, and the vampire preparing another attack was ready to finish her.

Edith opened her eyes quickly, and with speed, she yelled, “Aer Bulla!”

The water hit her again and plunged her into the depth of the lake, and the vampire made sure that Edith could not get out.

The witch tried hard to swim in all directions, but it was impossible, the vampire moved the water in the opposite directions, and she was losing the little strength that remained. It stayed submerged in the water, losing air.

The vampire watched her closely and tried to see her movements, but the woman did not move. Edith convulsed a couple of times when her body was inert.

At that moment, the vampire kept her under the water for a longer time to make sure there was a chance of survival, and after five minutes, she raised the water to extract Edith´s body.

Edith’s body rose to the surface, and Jasmine skillfully took the witch’s hand and raised her in the air, dropping the water, holding the girl’s entire weight tightly, looking into her eyes, trying to ensure her death.

 She showed her fangs, ready to taste the blood of the witch when Edith opened her eyes and surprised her and put the index and the middle in the eyes of the vampire said.

“Tenebris!”

Her eyes shone with power, and the vampire’s eyes powerful black energy came out, leaving her eyes completely dark. The girl fell into the water instantly, and Edith, out of the air, saw her handcuffing like crazy in all directions.

The vampire wanted to find her, she did not understand why her eyes did not regenerate, and with some desperation, she asked, “What the hell did you do to me?”
