Dominic ran towards the stairs to try to get to the second floor, but a rain of fire covered all that place.
Creating a knife, he threw it with force until it embedded it in the head of the corpse that released fire, freeing its way.
The other corpse stretched out his hand and turned them into blades to hit or cut Dominic, but using a shield, and he managed to avoid every attack that came in his direction.
Once on the first floor, he ran with speed, while the hunter above him noticed that what his intention was.
“Bastard!!” The hunter shouted furiously as he activated the muscular corpse to jump to the first floor and stop Dominic’s attack.
But Dominic was that not easy to deal with. Far from surrendering, Dominic jumped with force, and crossing the ceiling, he was a few inches from the hunter who was handling the corpses.
He released his hands to avoid falling, retreating before the sight of Dominic, and this, looking at how the corpses fell to the ground, confirmed that his theory was correct.
The hunter tried to run, and Dominic, creating a Chakram, threw it at full speed to cut the hunter’s hand as he fell to the ground.
The hunter screaming in pain, was terrified to see Dominic walk towards him.
He casually watched the man walk back, leaving a trail of blood where his hand was, and calmly crouched right in front of the hunter and took another one of those bottles from his jacket. They contained the gifts.
Gifts, it was a term that he found really ironic.
“Now, you will be like the dead that you dominate,” Dominic said with an evil grin.
Just as he spoke, he created a rapier, and swiftly buried it in the head of that hunter without any problem.
Getting up, he looked at the top of the building and yelled, “This is more fun than I thought! I’ll go save your friends!”
Stella glared at him as she found those words absurd. Nevertheless, restoring Dominic’s powers still somewhat terrified her.
After all, killing was a like game for the demigod with the name Dominic.
But she did not have any other choice. The option of getting him to give up his ability was difficult and close to impossible. Still, thanks to that, she had achieved the mastery of a demigod.
It was still problematic. There was the option to kill him and she would gladly do so, however, due to the circumstances that the servants of death lived, strong servants were a necessity.
No one could beat Dominic. Being the son of the god of combat, he was an incredible warrior, but he was also difficult to control, and all he wanted was for Stella to release all his powers.
That was easier said than done, of course.
If she did that, he would be loose in the world, and not only the life of the witch would be in danger, also that of everyone who came across his path.
So sealing his powers was her best option, but now with those powers released, she could see how terrible his presence was.
Perhaps summoning him had been a mistake.
While Stella was feeling conflicted, Dominic began to walk the streets.
He looked at the bottle that he had found and said, “I need someone who is precise.”
As he said that, a shot hit him right in the shoulder from far away, Dominic fell to the ground, and his gaze drifted directly to the person who had shot him.
The tome covered while he watched as, from a great distance, someone had managed to hit him.
With the power of the blacksmith, he could create any weapon, but he was not sure if he could replicate the weapon that that woman had used.
He had never seen anything that could cause that enormous amount of damage from that distance. Humans were a dangerous creation.
Taking a knife, he pulled the bullet out of his shoulder’s interior.
The warrior’s power gave him not only a great deal of strength and superior instinct, but it also gave him an enormous amount of energy and much stronger skin than normal.
That was why the wound, although deep, did not cause so much damage, but the impression that a person could cause that damage was tremendous.
He casually leaned out to look in the direction of where the person who was shooting him was.
It was far away in a building of about five floors, about eight streets away. He knew that if he went out again, it would not miss him, a skill like that was not a matter of luck. There was no bow that could reach that distance.
Not even the one with the strength that the warrior’s power gave him could throw anything that far, and the only way would be to approach it running.
Creating a thick and heavy shield, he prepared to reach her place and leave, and he began to run at full speed. In the building, the young woman with a hat and a huge long-range rifle smiled as she said.
“Interesting spell. Let’s see if it works!”
Calmly, she fired a bullet with such precision that it embedded itself in the shield. The shield dented, and Dominic smiling, saw the power of that destructive weapon. With speed, he kept running as more shots hit the shield, opening holes and rendering it useless.
Dominic could not advance even a street. In fact, he was more or less at the same distance. That woman controlled his advance with complete tranquility.
He calmly took a deep breath and entered a*****e as he said, “Let’s see how is your aiming with something you can’t see.”
Just as he said that, Dominic approached the wall, he hit it with such force that it opened a huge hole that would allow her to pass.
