LXII: Confident Sniper

1023 Words
Dominic was smiling as he began to go through wall after wall to advance without the sniper having an angle of fire. Destroying the walls was simple, and although it took more time, it also gave him the advantage. But it was quite boring for him as well. To entertain himself, Dominic started humming leisurely. If Stella would see him that moment, she would surely get annoyed once more. Perhaps that was exactly what he was aiming for. Since he could not kill Stella directly, he might as well annoy her to death. While he was entertaining himself in the building not so far from him, the female sniper looked at him and calmly took a bottle with a blue liquid. When she took it, she said, “You are a smart guy… but I’m sorry for you! This spell makes me the perfect hunter.” The girl kissed a bullet that she placed inside her rifle and closed her eyes, and she imagined the figure of Dominic. Breathing calmly, she raised the rifle even with her eyes closed and not waiting for a second, and she shot firmly. The bullet flew out of the rifle. It crossed the sky and made a deliberate turn until it entered the store and intercepted Dominic, who was about to break another wall. His instinct drove him to turn at the last moment, and the bullet that was aimed at his head just brushed his shoulder. The blood ran down from his shoulder, and Dominic looked at the bullet embedded in the wall. He couldn’t help but smile at the skill of his enemy, who, smiling, took three bullets and kissed them all. Placing them in the rifle and repeating the same process, she closed her eyes and imagined Dominic was shot three more times by the woman. The bullets made the same route, and they all flew with speed until they turned in time to hit Dominic. This time he was waiting for them, and with force, he took the first one with his hand feeling the impact of the bullet. With the other hand, he caught the other bullet feeling the pain of the impact, while the third one went straight to his heart when the demigod creating an armor received the bullet with his chest and went flying until he fell to the ground instantly. He fell to the ground and the shooter, opening her eyes, said, “Got him! I’m sure I got him!” She got up and looked over the edge of the terrace, and the street seemed calm. The sniper was sure she had hit the mark, and when she spoke on the radio, she said, “I have a kill to confirm Marlon Street!” One of the hunters responded and quickly went to check if Dominic’s body was really dead. She trusted her shot, but that man had proven to be quite difficult to kill, and confirming a death like that would reassure her. But everything went the way she didn’t expect it to. *** Edith was looking at one opponent while Nate was looking at the other. Actually, both hunters were preparing to pounce on them. “Potestas!!” Edith yelled while touching Nate’s back without anyone noticing her. Nate’s body felt an enormous impulse, and without stopping, he launched himself at full speed against the shape-shifter. He saw him running towards him and transforming his arms into huge crocodile jaws. He tried to bite him, but the man went through that attack using his own spell. Once he pierced the body of his opponent covered in the shadows, he solidified a hand to hold the sorcerer’s face, and with the power that Edith had given him, he threw him at full power against a car, sinking its door and driving it back. Nate was about to move against the other hunter when a huge snake wrapped itself around his arm, and the bull-bodied hunter came out of the car. Nate freed himself with his own power and stopped the power of the bull with that granted by Edith, and with force, began to hit the hunter’s abdomen. Tommy, on the other hand, seeing Edith alone, looked at that as an opportunity, and activating his spell, rushed against her, but after taking two steps, he stopped instantly. The girl put her hand on the ground and saw him smile as she said, “Why don’t you come to Tommy? I’m waiting for you!” The boy looked at her with some apprehension, and without knowing what the extent of that woman’s power was, he jumped from one side to the other, trying to run along the wall of one of the buildings to shorten the distance. She, still placing her hand on the floor, said casually, “Crepitus!” From the wall, several explosions occurred, but Tommy jumping with power shortened the distance to Edith. He descended from the jump on her, but the witch, far from surrendering, said, “Spicis!!” Around him, a pile of cement spikes appeared to tear Tommy’s skin, but this one in full fall took cover and destroyed all the spikes, landing in front of Edith with force. She had to step back to avoid the blow the man was throwing at her. The punch rose to her face, and she walked away with difficulty watching as the hunter stretched out his hand to take her face. She dropped down and, clasping her hands, screamed. “Fulgur!” A huge lightning bolt came out of her hands, but Tommy was faster, and avoiding the lightning, he took the witch’s back in a second, forcefully wrapped his hands around her neck, and lifting her off the ground, began to strangle her. With his spell, he could calmly destroy the neck of the young woman, but Nate was beating his partner, the hunter that changed shapes, was flying from one side to another because of the incredible power that Nate could generate, and this, hitting with force, looked how Tommy was holding Edith, and stopping, he said. “Drop her now!”
