“We here are governed under the rules of the moon goddess, but men cannot do that. It is not their nature!” Erica added with utmost seriousness.
Eleonor nodded when she saw how everyone was working everywhere. Erica looked at her gracefully and then asked, “You are a servant of the mind god, aren’t you?”
Eleonor smiled and, looking at her, nodded, calmly advanced, and asked, “How do you know that?”
Erica smiled and calmly said, “The moon is linked to many gods, and in the lunar room, we have altars for all of them, then we will go and show it to you if you want!”
Eleonor calmly nodded when she looked at Joshua, and she said, “That would be wonderful!”
As they advanced, they all greeted Joshua with affection when a woman with long white hair appeared. She had an ankle-length dress and walked with enviable grace. Looking at Joshua, she smiled and said, “My son! You came back! I thought for a minute that you would share your father’s fate!”
Joshua approached her and gave his hands, and he said, “No, mother! Thanks to my friends, it was not the case, although I was very close to dying!”
She closed her eyes and hugged Joshua, thanked heaven with a peculiar sign. Looking at Seth, she smiled and approached the two visitors, and she asked, “Are you my son’s friends, responsible for his good fortune?”
They smiled, and Seth humbly said, “Not all! There is still Edith, and the rest of them are in another place!”
The woman smiled when Eleonor, widening her eyes, said, “I lost connection with Edith!”
Joshua worried about her and, seeing her asked with worry, “What happened?”
But for Eleonor, it was impossible to explain the cause of that disconnection, she closed her eyes and activated her power to the fullest, but it was completely impossible for her to find the whereabouts of Edith or any of the others. Something was preventing them from connecting.
Eyes widening, she looked at Joshua and said, “Sorry! I can’t find her!”
Joshua looked at Seth and nodded, and he said, “You and I will go for it. You sure can track her!”
But at that moment, her mother raised her hand looking at Joshua, and she said, “Don’t despair, son. Despair is not the best sign of a leader. Follow me!”
Joshua looked at her steadily. Many years of knowing the scope of her mother had taught him not to doubt her word, although maintaining serenity in that situation was quite difficult.
They all calmly followed Joshua’s mother, who, entering the mountain, stepped into a room where the ceiling faced the sky directly. Several altars to the different gods were raised in the corners, and Joshua’s mother pointed at Eleonor with her finger to say.
“Affection! At the altar of your god, your power will be amplified!”
Eleonor saw her with some uncertainty, and instantly recognizing the altar from the god of the mind, she approached.
Just being close, she could feel a sensation that overwhelmed her, she kept her calm, and at the same time, she could feel enormous energy running through her body.
Entering the altar, the young witch felt that energy enveloped her, and closing her eyes, she put her hands on the gem in the middle of it, and firmly she said, “Invinire!”
Her eyes shone in a strong white color when her body rose, and her gaze was lost in the sky. Her hair flew through the air, and the young woman could look at the whole world within reach of her mind.
Everyone was present, but a tiny little part was dark. She did not know what the reason was, but it was undoubtedly man-made.
Approaching that dark part, she realized that it was the pine city, she could not penetrate the barrier that had been raised, but she could see how on the edge of the city in three specific points surrounding it, several humans worked fervently to keep the barrier firm.
It was more than clear that Edith and her team had fallen into a trap, but that was not all that caught her attention. A group of werewolves was facing a fierce battle on their way to that altar. Only ten managed to escape from the clutches of that terrible army that gathered to attack that sanctuary.
Cutting the connection and returning to normal, Eleonor managed to see Joshua, and with tears in her eyes, as she said, “We have big problems. Very, very big!”
Joshua looked at her and did not know what to say. Eleonor stood up and, looking at those present, and said, “Edith and the others entered the pine city, but it seems that someone set a trap for them, they are still alive, but I can’t know much more!”
Joshua thought about running to her rescue but using his mother’s advice, and she opened her eyes when he questioned impatiently, “What is the other news!?”
Eleonor looked at him hurriedly when she said, “The wolves obedient to you were attacked by many people and an army of magical creatures coming in this direction. I can’t guarantee that they are all alright. One group managed to escape and will arrive here in two nights. One night after that, the creatures that attacked them will come!”
Joshua looked at the floor as he squeezed his meek command to Eleonor, then he asked, “How many people will attack this place?”
Eleonor shook her head, and staring at him, she responded.
“About two hundred, Joshua!” Saying that Joshua’s eyes widened when the girl added. “And they are not just werewolves. There are also giants, vampires, banshees… all kinds of creatures, all with a single objective. This sanctuary!”
