LX: A Hunter or Sorcerer

1003 Words
They had both moved away, and Edith behind the counter was catching her breath as best she could. The man got up and looked inside the store. It wasn’t difficult to locate the exit zone for the shadow power when Nate stared into that sorcerer’s eyes. Then Nate gazed shifter towards Edith as if he did not care about the sorcerer’s presence.   “Where is Seraphim?” Nate asked. Edith shook her head, trying to regain her composure when she said, “I think she’s... in the... underground.” Nate hummed as he got up. He then thought for a moment before he said, “I’ll take care of him, and then we’ll go get Seraphim, okay? Rest a little.” Edith was injured, and the pain of the blow made her dizzy, but when she saw how Nate left through the main door of the pharmacy to face Tommy, the young woman could not take her eyes off that combat. Nate stared at him and raised his hand, and he could not help but ask, “Are you a real hunter or sorcerer?” Tommy looked at him and replied with a grin, “I am a hunter, but also a sorcerer... I am the best of both worlds.” With the increased power he had gained from his spell, he pounced on Nate, the power he could generate was greater than many, and it was easy to think that he could easily defeat a man like Nate in brute force. He raised his hands to ward off the blow, and when Tommy’s powerful punch landed on him, Nate didn’t back down an inch. Nate clenched his fist and hit Tommy’s face with force, causing him to recoil. Tommy, feeling the force that Nate could generate, jumped with all his strength to put distance between them and say, “What was that…? I didn’t see you use any spells… Men can’t use multiple spells like witches. What are you?” Nate looked at him with a grin and replied, “Yes! I know. I, too, am the best of both worlds as well as you.” Hearing that, the hunter got angry. He was staring at him and asked, “What are you talking about?” But Nate, completely focused, said, “You will see!” As Nate prepared to attack across the street, an extra hunter appeared. He had no shirt and had a huge cross tattooed on his chest. As he walked, he took out one of the potions, and when he drank it, his body changed. Once the effects of the potion were activated, he said, “Tommy, sorry, I got tired of waiting for you! Let’s both finish with this.” Tommy spat on the ground, still feeling the power of Nate’s punch, and with a smile, he said, “Yes! It is time to remove the arrogance from this child.” The man behind him calmly said, “This spell is very good. I don’t like to use it often because I have few bottles of it left, but this is a special occasion, isn’t it?” Saying that, he activated the spell, and his body, undergoing a tremendous transformation, took out enormous gorilla arms and antelope legs. Seeing the boy in front of him, he rushed at full speed to attack him when Nate turned and prepared to face him, but at that precise moment, Tommy was approaching and captured him from behind. Nate looked at him and saw the man in front of him, but before he could attack him, Edith’s voice shouted out. “Fulgur!!” A strong bolt of lightning flew to hit the newly arrived hunter and make him fly up to the wall, when Nate activating his own power, pierced Tommy’s body, moving away from him. Nate came to where Edith was and seeing the young woman, he asked, “How do you feel?” “I’ll be better when we’re done with them!” She replied with a smile. Edith was finding Nate even more likable compared to before. He was a Vampire. Still he did not seem so bad. The two hunters prepared for combat while Edith and Nate were ready to face them. That group battle was about to begin. *** Dominic advanced, looking at the three dead in front of him and how they were preparing to eliminate him. He was smiling widely before he said, “I bet if I kill you, all three of them will die again.” The hunter on the second floor, who had his hands still clasped as if praying, looked at him in displeasure and asked, “And what makes you think I’ll let you do it?” At that moment, the corpse that had made his body grow in an enormous way lunged towards Dominic, who, creating a sword, slid through the ground, cutting deeply the knee of that corpse that fell crashing to the ground. The other corpse quickly ran in his direction, and Dominic used his sword to stop the impacts of that corpse’s hands that were now turned into sharp swords, while right behind him, the corpse that was throwing flames attacked. The flames embraced the corpse, and they fiercely approached Dominic to consume him but leaping quickly, he managed to reach the first floor where he saw his other enemy watching him, still with his hands clasped. With a smile, Dominic jumped towards him, he was sure that if he eliminated the problem, it would be finished, but before he could reach a hand, he reached out and took him by the feet. When he saw this, he was surprised to see the burning corpse take it with his hand, stretch out, and smash it to the ground with force. Dominic let out a mighty groan when he saw the muscular corpse step over him to stomp on him. The wounds he had inflicted had healed, and rolling to one side, he avoided the attack.
