LXXVII: Just A Man

Stella looked up at the sky and calmly said, “The little I have found out is that he is a human being. A man. He appears to be in his thirties, with long hair and a very sinister look. He has dealings with everyone, magical creatures, hunters, sorcerers, and other witches. He appeals to their interests against us!”

Seraphim, hearing that, advanced and said, “He was responsible for my sister’s death... he must not be on good terms with witches!”

But Stella looking at her, said, “Not all witches are our allies. Your sister was a friend of Edith. It is clear that she would refuse. But many have every reason to hate the servants of death…!”

After saying that, she looked at Joshua and calmly said, “He’s an alpha, right? If he also has dealings with your people...”

Joshua looked at the ground and nodded, and he said, “Then he is the one who united that small army that is going to my mother’s tribe.”

Stella, Edith, and the others looked at Joshua with interest, and he nodded and assured, “Yes, in a couple of days, a huge number of magical creatures will storm my mother’s castle!”

Stella looked at him, and completely terrified, wondered, “Your mother?”

Erika was looking at her reply, “The witness of the moon!”

Hearing those words, Stella opened her eyes, Edith looked at her for a second, and she understood instantly.

While looking at Joshua, the fear was reflected in the eyes of death when Edith said, “In your mother’s castle, is there a circle of altars?”

Joshua saw her, and Erika nodded and said, “Yes, it is one of the twelve holy places!”

Stella, getting up, said, “Damn, if that man reaches the altars, he will be able to reach the gods and us anywhere... we cannot allow it.”

Edith looked at Joshua, and calmly approaching him, put her hands on the boy’s chest when she asked, “How good is the protection of that place!?”

Joshua looked at Erika, and she honestly answered, “As we are now, it won’t be easy to protect it!”

Stella nodded and thought clearly said, “Dominic! I’ll give you more powers if you do me another favor!”

But at that moment, a voice that only Stella heard said, “No more favors for you, witch!”

And at that moment, a bullet pierced the witch’s stomach, she opened her eyes wide when she fell to her knees, and at that moment, fear was reflected on her face. Dominic had betrayed her.

Stella was bleeding prominently. Joshua leaned out of the window to see who was shooting and, out of nowhere, more bullets were flying in that direction.

He interposed his back receiving the shots, and with his powers, he could regenerate instantly. However, the shots did not stop coming.

Seraphim stepped forward and touched the walls, and she said, “Praesidium!!”

A barrier appeared around the room, and Stella, who was prominently bleeding, said, “You’re going to pay for this, Dominic.”

At that moment, the demigod entered the door smiling, and he said. “Why? I wasn’t the one who shot you.”

He looked at Stella with a malevolent laugh when seeing her face, and a blue flash appeared in his eyes. Immediately, Edith knew what it was about, and he was using one of the hunters’ potions. Nate, who had seen him ingest it, said. “The arm of the corpse that you carried with you”

And in that instant, everything made sense to Stella. He had awakened one of the hunters that he had killed by taking the hunter’s potion that he had faced first. Stella looked at him and said. “This will cost you… it’s a betrayal.”

But Dominic, seeing her, said. “What are you talking about? I wasn’t the one who told him to shoot you. That was an accident.”

She stared at him, and smiling, he said. “You got in the way of the bullet going towards me, ”That’s why he was in the office. He had ordered the corpse to shoot. At that moment, he could move, and the bullet would chase him through anyone who was in front of him. Smiling, he said.“I can heal you... but you need to unleash all my powers for that.”

Everyone looked at him with anger, and Stella smiling, said.“You are smarter than you look,” Saying that, the girl held her stomach and said. “But you’re going to f**k off! I’d rather die than do what you want.”

He smiled and said.“It can be fixed.”

At that moment, Nate tried to catch him, but he quickly hit Nate’s face, and creating a harpoon, nailed his foot on the floor, saying.“You won’t get out of this one, shady.”

The harpoon had roasted Dominic’s hand, but with the healer’s power, he was quickly cured. Joshua threw his spear in his direction, and Dominic, evading it, saw the werewolf throw himself in against him.

They exchanged such strong punches that everyone present fell back, and Dominic understood that Joshua had enough strength to fight against him.

However, the man fell back a bit, created two spiked silver knuckles, and said, “You are going to like this beating.”

Joshua smilingly put his claws out of him, and without the slightest fear, said, “Let’s see who enjoys it more.”

They both threw themselves on each other and forcefully began to exchange attacks. Dominic’s blows left terrible wounds on Joshua’s body, while the werewolf’s claws cut deep cuts in the demigod’s body.

Both were beating each other without quarter, Dominic did not back down a bit while Joshua did not stop advancing, and at one point, they both hit each other so hard that they could not avoid backing down.
