LXXV: Nova Warrior

The young man looked at her as if she was the most stupid person in the world, and with a frustrated sigh, he said, “I told you that I am, a Nova warrior! Don’t be stupid... pay attention, that’s why we introduced ourselves.”

Stella still didn’t understand, and seeing him, she asked, “What the hell is a nova warrior!?”

The man stopped, and jumping on Stella’s desk, started rubbing his chin when he said, “You don’t know what a nova warrior is?”

Stella, without believing what she saw, shook her head and said, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

He, sitting at the desk, said, “Of course, you don’t know. We are new, and I think this is our second mission... it has to go well.”

As the man babbled Stella, she looked at him curiously and said, “Can you regenerate?”

The man looked at her with a frown and replied, “Yes! That’s right, and I can also shape-shift. It is the virtue of the novae. We can also see in the dark, and we are immune to poison...”

Stella didn’t believe what she saw. As calm as she could, she was asked, “You are immortal?”

He shook his head vigorously when he said, “No! If you kill me, and then you kill me, and then you kill me, and then you kill me, and so on. Someday I die... but I always kill you first.”

Stella stood up straight, her arms hurting, but she calmly said, “Then you are not immortal... I just have to kill you.”

He got up again and said, “Yes! But you can’t, if you kill me six times and I win one... you can’t.”

But Stella raising her hand, said, “Yes, I can. I just have to definitely kill you...!”

Looking at her, he showed his neck and said, “Seal, you can’t kill me, dad said you’d try, but you can’t.”

Stella laughed and said, “You think I would use the ultimate death spell… those are my sisters, they are very basic, but death has many forms. Mors Signum!”

When she said that, a red seal appeared around her hand, and it became very small, then it shot out until it was located on the forehead of that hunter, and he saw himself, said, “I told you it was useless! I did not feel anything!”

Stella smiled and said, “Of course not. The label itself does nothing, not to you! But to those around you, well, it’s another story!”

Out of nowhere, two birds entered the room. They attacked that boy’s face so fast that he could not defend himself. Using his rapier, he killed them quickly, and his wounds healed, but many more birds appeared.

Stella was smiling when she said, “The spell makes everyone who sees you feel your mark and want to kill you… it makes them feel that if they don’t kill you, they will die. It is effective!”

The boy attacked by birds killed them as soon as they stalked each other, but they were so insistent that he threw himself out of the window to get away from them.

Transforming his arms into wings, he began to escape when a gunshot struck him in the stomach. He did not understand what was happening, and suddenly, a spear was embedded in his stomach as well.

In the street, Edith watched as Seraphim attacked the boy incessantly, and it was not just her, from various places in the city. The hunters did not stop attacking him to kill him. His body was knocked down, and when he fell into the street, the dogs and rats pounced on him, just like the surrounding hunters who saw him. All dropped their attacks on the poor boy.

Suffering, his body was mutilated and killed each time, Stella looked at him, and from the top of the building, she said.

“That’s what you get for attacking the witch of death!”

At that moment, the third layer of the barrier disappeared, and in all the places of that city, the humans began to appear. People were going out in all places, and at that moment, the hunters knew that it was time to retreat. However, a fight was still active.

In one of the streets, Nate and Dominic were still fighting, and he, with a smile, said. There are only two minutes left, it’s time to activate my plan, and with that in mind, he charged towards Nate at full power.

The demigod had an idea that he wanted to carry out and would soon do it. The humans around him watched the fight anodized, and because of the power they could generate, they were caught in the middle.

The city was destroyed, full of corpses, and in a few seconds, the noise of a congested city was activated again. The hunters were in retreat, and chaos would now be brought about by the humans in that place.

Nate ran through the streets. Cars and other huge objects flew in his direction as he used his powers to get out of the way. Challenging Dominic had not been the best idea, but he had no other options.

Dominic was talking about betraying the witches and what that meant was that Seraphim and Edith could be in danger, yet he had never faced anything like him before.

Dominic was as strong as his father but with none of the weaknesses.

While he escaped, the demigod chased him everywhere, trying to end his life, and had if not for Nate’s powers, he would have succeeded more than once.

A car fell on him and submerged him in a shadow, and he managed to escape. When he came out in the shadow of a pole, Dominic fell on him with a hammer.

Nate turned on his back and walked away, and he saw Dominic move the hammer with skill as he said, “An interesting power you have. You enter through one shadow and exit through another… but it’s not that free, isn’t it? It has limitations!”
