Cecil tried to speak again, and she raised her hand to silence him, calmly walking until he was right in front of Joshua.
Joshua was considerably bigger than Cecil, and being in front of him left him in evidence. The moon, who had to look up to see Joshua’s eyes, decided to rise a little from the ground and sit on the air itself. He said, “And your young wolf! Why do you want to witness the moon? You also want power?”
Joshua looked at her and then looked at Cecil as he said very energetically, “Of course not!! I didn’t even know that witnessing the moon gave you power or something! The truth is that I’m only here to stop him from hurting my mom!”
The moon looked at him and nodded, and he said, “So as long as your mom is fine, you don’t care if he is the witness to the moon?”
Joshua felt a little chill down his spine. A world where that lunatic witnessed the moon didn’t seem like a pretty thing.
Seeing it, he shook his head, and the smiling moon receded, seeing them, said, “You are very funny people, but I really don’t know which of the two is suitable to take over as my new witness!”
Joshua saw her, and when he saw her mother behind them, and the moon said, “She will ascend! She is an extraordinary priestess, so she will ascend! And I will need a new witness on earth. The only ones who seem suitable for that are you, but I don’t know who to choose.”
They both saw each other for a minute and taking a deep breath, Joshua said, “Goddess, the truth is that choosing him as my mother’s successor would be a waste of time. Right after we leave this place, I am going to kill him, and then you open your choice lost.”
She smiled for a second and looked at Cecil, and he seemed enraged when she said, “Choose me, and you will see how I tear this asshole and his entire family to pieces!”
The moon raised her eyebrows, and with a smile, she said, “An egotist who only wants power for himself and an apathetic who does not care about power... I have one more question for you.”
They both saw her, and the moon asked, “What would you do to avoid the end of the world?”
That was the question that the moon cast their convictions were clear, but the view of the future for men did not seem promising. Something was about to happen, and Joshua and the rest would be at the center of everything, and their decisions, actions, and hobbies would be the cornerstones where those conflicts would take place to change the world like never before.
Seraphim was next to Eleonor, with her monitoring what was happening, and her nerves were bursting.
Nate just got Edith out of a dangerous situation, and his enemy was in pursuit.
Getting up, he looked at Eleonor and said, “I can’t stay here, Eli! Guide me, and I’ll get to them!"
The girl nodded and saw how Seraphim ran through the entrance of the cave, carefully descending the steps while on the outskirts the battle that the werewolves were carrying out was heard.
She tried to find a way to anticipate where Nate was leading Edith when he said, “Where is Eli?”
The witch of the mind who monitored the position of her companions was about to give her an indication when Seraphim felt a great amount of magic activating, but in the corridor that was only two directions possible, in front of her, the staircase kept descending until it reached to the training rooms while if Zubia would arrive at the hall of the altars where she had been a few seconds ago, however in front of her there was no kind of person from where the magic could be emitting.
“Eleonor! Can you tell me if there is another person in this place?”
Eleonor raised her voice and said, “Be careful, Sera, they attack you!!”
Seraphim raised her hands but could see her opponent, no one below and no one above, and she was confused when the wall next to her cracked, and from the witch who was helping the enemy army, she emerged screaming.
“Vi Magna!”
Seraphim tried to protect herself, but the force with which the witch was pushing her was brutal, her back collided with the wall, and it cracked. She felt the pain deeply, but far from giving up, she prepared to conjure something when the witch tangled her fingers around him. Seraphim’s throat prevented her from saying anything.
She was lifting her up hard and slamming her against the wall as she was smiling, said, “When I devour you, all your power will be mine!”
Seraphim was starting to feel dizzy from the lack of oxygen and looking up, and she couldn’t think of anything. Everything that came to her mind was fading quickly, and with her knee, she hit the witch’s stomach.
Raising her leg even higher, he managed to interpose it between her enemy’s arm and her neck, letting a minuscule amount of air enter her throat when she was screaming.
“Repellendi!”
From Seraphim’s body, a large amount of magic appeared repelled both of them from the other.
The witch with whom she was fighting re-entered the hole that she had opened while Seraphim shot towards the opposite wall.
The power with which she was repelled opened a hole in that wall when she was thrown into the wall. The fall was long and collided with parts of the mountain that was not healed. She managed to support herself before falling completely.
Her hands gripped tightly on a ledge, and rising with the strength she was able to conjure, she sat on the tiny stone rim that the mountain held.
