LV: Another Hunter

1010 Words
She looked at the arrow again and knew the reason for the man’s laugh instantly. She, running as far as she could, got away from the arrow before it exploded with force. The blast wasn’t that powerful, but if it were to get close to Seraphim when it detonated, it would surely do a lot of damage. The young woman knew that Edith would come out to help her, but in the state that she was in, it was not recommended that she expose herself, so, with speed, she ran and said. “Celere!!” Her body glowed, and she began to move with speed, but the archer aimed and fired, exploding arrows at will. This made Seraphim outline towards the subway door and looked towards the store where Edith was standing, and she shook her head to convey the message to the other witch that she should not come out. Edith nodded, and Seraphim plunged into the subway, escaping the explosive arrows. The hunter began to chase her as he fired, and after her also dived into the subway station. As he went down, he shot with a certain disposition to cause damage to Seraphim, but the speed that the witch could reach was too much, and she always ran away from her pursuer. He fired quickly, but no arrows hit the target. When she went down, she lost sight of the witch, and preparing an arrow, she said, “Where are you hiding, little witch? I have a gift for you!” The man kept advancing, approaching the turnstiles. Upon reaching them, he mounted on them and saw the movement of a shadow, and with speed shot. The arrow flew in that direction, the explosion was loud, and a huge scream was heard. The hunter grinned when he asked to celebrate. “Did I kill you, witch?” When he said that, calmly, he approached, and with a smile, added, “I hope not, I want to cut you up. That would be the perfect death for you!” He calmly approached the site where the arrow had hit, but there was no one at that moment, and with dizzying speed, Seraphim appeared behind him. The hunter tried to take another arrow, but the young woman, without giving him the slightest opportunity, took the bow and, with the palm of her hand, struck a blow that made him fly until he fell into the open space of the subway floor. The blow was strong, and the spitting blood smiled. His bow was in the witch’s hands and, squeezing it tightly, and she broke it into two pieces. The hunter smiled and stood up with difficulty, then seeing her, he asked, “How the hell did we kill your sister...? You’re too strong!” Seraphim felt anger rise through her body, and looking at the hunter with hatred, she said,  “You know! You talked about cutting someone up… Maybe I’ll take your word for it!” He stepped back and, smiling took, a small bottle from his pocket with a blue liquid. Seraphim looked at him and calmly said, “What’s that? Another weapon to kill me!” The man smiled and calmly said, “Not exactly... this is good, there are many things, but mainly it is sorcerer’s blood!” Seraphim looked at him in disgust when the guy said, “Of course, it is processed. Do not be crazy... it is not blood directly. It goes through a process to make it edible!” Seraphim was looking at him in disgust when he started to advance and asked, “Did they do that to my sister?” But the hunter calmly said, “Of course not… it would be useless to do that to a witch. Her affinity with magic is very wide, so you just use her spells and things. But sorcerers are different!” Seraphim stared at him, and she was about to lose her mind when the hunter said, “The affinity with their magic is manifested in their gifts. A gift, and that’s it!” Seraphim spitting on the ground asked, “Does this conversation have a purpose?” And the hunter smiling said, “Not really! You want to kill me, and I want to kill you. I don’t see what we’re waiting for!” As the man said that, he completely swallowed the contents of the bottle, his veins instantly turned blue, and the veins on his face sprouted blue, giving him a rather sinister sight. Seraphim decided not to wait for another second, and rushing forward, she yelled. “Fortitudo!!” And with an explosive movement, she furrowed the distance in a second, hitting the man directly in the stomach. The impact took him away at great speed, but before he separated, he managed to touch the face of Seraphim with his hand. The impact sent him tumbling down the stairs until he reached the platform deep within the subway. The blow was incredibly strong, and the hunter writhed in pain as Seraphim lowered herself calmly. He rolled on the ground trying to catch some of his breath, and lying on his back, he cried and bled as he laughed. Sitting down, he said, “This is absurd, and it really is impossible to fight against you!” He tried to stand up, but the impact had broken a rib, and that cost him a lot. He forcefully stood up and, looking at Seraphim, said, “However, all the power you have will be of no use to you. This fight is over!” She rolled her eyes and saw him smile, practically defeated, she said, “Look at you, and you’re half dead. How will you win?” But with the one hand that had touched Seraphim’s face, he sucked his finger and winked at her as he said, “The gift of the sorcerer I swallowed is incredible!” At that moment, a spiritual chain flew out of the hunter’s stomach straight to the stomach of Seraphim.
