Chapter 2You jerk.

The next day, Lilith followed the chairman back to Ville City. Jack didn't live with his grandfather but had bought an apartment near the university town on his own. When Lilith arrived at the apartment building with the gift from the partner for Jack, it was already nine o'clock at night. She had never been to Jack's home before and always just delivered things to the downstairs. Jack valued his privacy very much. She called Jack but the phone rang for a long time without an answer. It was only on the second attempt that he answered slowly. "Something up?" Jack's voice was languid and hoarse. Lilith looked up at the apartment building. It was over thirty floors high, with a few lights on here and there. "I have something for you." Jack chuckled. "Come up." This was the first time Jack had invited her to his home. When Lilith stepped out of the elevator with the gift, she saw the door on the left was already open, with a few rays of orange-yellow light spilling out. Jack was leaning against the doorframe, his shirt sleeves rolled up to his elbows, the top button undone, looking lazy and arrogant. "This is something from the partner for you," Lilith said, extending her hand to hand over the gift. Jack didn't take it. He chuckled and turned back into the room. "Come in yourself." Lilith couldn't figure out what Jack was up to and could only follow him in. But as soon as she stepped into the entrance, Jack pushed her back against the door. In this close contact, Lilith could smell a faint smell of alcohol on him. "You've been drinking," she frowned as he leaned down. "Lilith, wasn't it you who seduced me in the hotel, calling out so wantonly? Now you're pretending to be innocent?" Jack kissed her passionately, like a hungry wolf pouncing on its prey. She was hurt by his bite but had no strength to resist. As they were entangled, she heard him say, "Since you want to sleep with me so much, why not be honest about it?" Lilith frowned and kicked away the gift that had fallen at her feet, taking the initiative and passionately wrapping her arms around Jack's neck. Her response seemed to confirm his suspicion in his eyes. Jack no longer hesitated. He bent down and picked her up, striding towards the bedroom. Jack roughly threw her onto the bed as if she were an insignificant object. Her body bounced slightly on the soft mattress before being tightly pinned down by Jack's strong body. Jack's eyes burned with desire, his breathing becoming rapid and heavy, like a hungry wolf about to pounce on its prey. Without hesitation, he lunged forward, his hands tightly grasping her shoulders, holding her firmly beneath him. After their passionate encounter, Jack threw out a sentence, "The bathroom is outside," and got up, putting on a bathrobe and returning to his bedroom. Lilith finally had the chance to look around the room. It was decorated in a minimalist style, with only a bed and a cabinet, which seemed to be a guest room. Fortunately, this time Jack didn't tear her clothes. Lilith went to the bathroom outside to take a shower and change her clothes. It seemed that Jack didn't plan to let her stay overnight, otherwise he wouldn't have stayed in his room until now. Lilith looked at his closed door, then her gaze shifted to the several bottles of alcohol on the coffee table. Next to them was a box of opened stomach medicine, thrown about haphazardly. "Are you still up to something?" Jack emerged from his room, wearing a bathrobe, his wet hair still dripping water. Lilith looked up and challenged him, "Does Amy know we slept together again?" Next to the stomach medicine was a receipt, with a note written on it, "Sorry, I'll be back soon." So, Amy had stood him up. Lilith wanted to laugh. She had kindly brought a gift, but Jack thought she was deliberately seducing him. Amy had stood him up, but he was here alone, drinking to drown his sorrows. The madness that came after drinking was still for her to deal with. Jack narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean?" "Professor Jack won't forget what he just did, will he?" "Lilith." Jack walked over slowly. He reached out and pinched her chin, forcing her to look up at him. "Don't stir up trouble for no reason." Her chin hurt from being pinched, and Lilith frowned slightly. "Jack, you're hurting me. Let go of me." Jack tightened his grip on her hand a little more. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "If Amy finds out about us, you know what will happen." A drop of water from his hair fell down and landed on her neck, cold and icy, making Lilith shiver involuntarily.
