Tony and Lilith entered the private room one after another. Everyone in the room was someone they knew.
The originally lively private room fell silent the moment she and Tony entered.
Just now, Jack bringing a beautiful girl was surprising enough for them, but now Tony has brought Lilith directly.
Everyone's gaze kept shifting back and forth among the few people.
It was Owens who reacted first. He walked up to Tony and gave him a punch on the shoulder. "When did you come back? You didn't even tell me. I only found out you were back from others. It's so hard to see you."
Tony brushed his hand away and said in a flat tone, "I just got back and didn't have a chance to tell you."
"Oh my god! You couldn't tell us in time, but you could tell Miss Lilith? Come on, Tony. You can't deceive like this." Owens has a good personality and gets along well with everyone in the circle. He also speaks his mind directly.
But when others hear these words, they carry a rather profound meaning.
Some busybody has already been surreptitiously sizing up Jack again.
Jack sat there, holding a wine glass in his hand, showing no reaction. It seemed as if Tony and Lilith had nothing to do with him. Everyone knew, though, that Lilith was Jack's fiancée.
It seems that he has no intention of coming to her rescue.
Lilith took over Owens' words, "I didn't know he was back either. I went to the hospital for a check-up today and happened to run into him there. He's a doctor."
I heard there was a party here. I love parties, you know. So I came along with him.
"OK, OK, I get it. I believe you, Miss Lilith," Owens said, winking at Tony. Owens finally let Tony and Lilith off the hook, and then the lively atmosphere was back in full swing.
There was no doubt that drinking was a must at the party. After the private room was filled with a lively atmosphere, Owens called over the waiters and asked them to bring the wine.
Lilith was about to speak when she heard Jack snap his fingers and say, "Waiter, bring her a glass of juice."
He pointed at the girl beside her with his chin. The girl suddenly became the focus of everyone's attention and shyly ducked behind him.
A young nobleman raised his eyebrows and said, "Hey, who is she? Why don't you introduce her to us? Are you acting as her knight in shining armor?"
Jack unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. "Hey, man, don't get the wrong idea. She's my student. I just brought her along for some fun."
"Oh~ student~" The jeering grew louder. Jack's brows knitted slightly. "Watch your words. She really is my student."
Seeing this, the girl felt a bit embarrassed and said, "Hello, I'm Winnie Smith, a student of Professor Jack."
"Jack came to the bar with students?" someone asked with a laugh. This group of people was already having a great time and had seen it all, but they didn't expect Jack to be so bold. They immediately started to tease him a bit.
Jack raised his voice: "Parker, drink your wine. Nobody's treating you like a mute."
Seeing that he was really angry, the others changed the subject.
Lilith also withdrew her gaze. She looked at the wine in front of her and picked up the glass.
Look, Jack is not the kind of person who can't help others out of a difficult situation; he just doesn't want to help her out.
He probably forgot that she still bore the title of his fiancée.
However, in front of acquaintances, he had never admitted that she was his fiancée.
Otherwise, how could Owens have dared to say those words in his presence?
Lilith smiled and picked up her wine glass to drink, but was stopped by someone.
Tony naturally snatched the wine glass from her hand and then said to the waiter who hadn't left yet, "A glass of juice here, thank you."
When Parker saw this, he said, "Students drinking juice is fine, but Lilith is drinking juice too? Why?"
Tony raised his face to look at him and sneered, "If you want to kill her, just let her drink."
Lilith could only explain herself, "I went to the hospital for an intravenous drip and can't drink alcohol."
Parker exclaimed, "You came with Tony, at Willer Hospital? Then why weren't you with Jack? Why weren't you together?"
Lilith said, "Really? I didn't see them."
No sooner had she finished speaking than she heard Jack say in a measured tone, "Not appropriate."
Owens laughed and scolded, "Are you crazy? If you let another woman sit in your passenger seat, just wait for Amy to come back and see if she doesn't chop you up!"
In the face of Owens' ridicule, Jack didn't respond. He just slightly pursed his lips, as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, he chose to remain silent.
Lilith gave an embarrassed smile.
How obvious Owens' attitude is!
Even if they are engaged fiancés.
But in Jack's eyes, Lilith was just another woman.
