Chapter 3: The next moretti

The sun was shining through the windows of the penthouse radiating warm lights through the curtains and painting everything in the warm light . The air was cool and fresh but the ground was damped. My body was still in pain in the most delicious, sinful ways .It was sore between my legs and I had bruises decorated my hips and my breasts. His strong hands and his touch all over me still played in my head . Fingerprints as if they were tattooed on my thighs . Bite marks on my shoulders and his sweet scent still lingered on my body. For one blissful moment, I smiled into the pillow, remembering the stranger from last night. The way he had taken control, the dirty things he whispered while he was buried deep inside me, how many times he had made me scream . The times I came for him . Then I woke up to reality. I wasn’t in my tiny studio apartment or in my little bedroom. Or in the bar. This was someone else’s bed. Someone else’s luxurious world. I got out of the bed freeing myself from his grip . He still held my waist possessively even as he slept. He lay on his stomach, face turned slightly toward me, silver-streaked dark hair messy from my fingers. In the daylight, he looked even more scary . He had broad shoulders and tattoos designed and sculpted round his body. He also had old scars that were still visible.. He was beautiful but in a terrifying way. Late thirties, maybe older, with the kind of face that promised both pleasure and pain. I needed to leave. No names, no tomorrow — that had been the agreement I grabbed the sheet and wrapped it around myself, tiptoeing quietly across the carpet where I had c*m in search of my clothes. My black dress was crumpled near the window, panties nowhere to be found. I dressed as fast as I could without making noise gently zipping my dress That’s when I noticed the sleek black wallet on the nightstand. It had fallen open slightly, probably knocked over yesterday in our intense delicious encounter. A driver's license was lying on the floor My chest tightened, and for a second, the world seemed to go silent. Damien Voss. The name stared back at me like a death sentence. Damien Voss. Don of the Voss Crime Syndicate. The man whose orders had destroyed my entire family was the man that I enjoyed yesterday night. The monster I had spent the last eight years running from. “Oh God…” The whisper escaped before I could stop it. My knees buckled. I gripped the edge of the nightstand to stay upright, bile rising in my throat. I had slept with him. Let him f**k me raw, come inside me, mark me in every possible way. And I hadn’t even known. I had to get out. Now. Immediately I snatched my purse and shoes, tiptoeing toward the door like my life depended on it. Which it probably did. “Going somewhere, little bartender?” The deep voice made me freeze. For a moment my legs felt heavy like they couldn't walk again. Damien was awake, the sheet still covered in c*m barely covering his hips. Those dark eyes — the same ones that had burned with lust last night — now held something far more dangerous. Recognition. Possession. Control. “You…” My voice cracked. “You’re Damien Voss.” He didn’t deny it. Instead, a slow, predatory smile curved his lips as he sat up fully,“And you’re Isabella Moretti. Daughter of Carlo Moretti. The last one breathing.” he muttered, grabbing his phone. Ice slid down my spine . He knew. He had known all along. “How?” I whispered, I asked shifting backwards towards the door. . “Last night… Was this some kind of sick game? ” Damien got out of the bed stretching slowly with precision and aura .His c**k hung heavy and between his thighs , thick and flushed. He was magnificent — and terrifying. He walked toward me slowly, like a predator who knew his prey had nowhere to run. “Not a game. I’ve had eyes on you for months, Isabella. You’ve been hiding well, but not well enough . Last night was… inevitable.” I laughed bitterly, even as tears burned my eyes. “Inevitable? You destroyed my family! And I let you—” The words died in my throat as memories of his mouth on me, his hands pinning me down, his c**k stretching me flooded back. He stopped just inches away, towering over me. One tattooed hand came up to cup my jaw, thumb brushing my lower lip almost gently. “You let me f**k you like you were made for it. And you loved every second. Don’t pretend otherwise.” Heat flooded my cheeks despite the fear. I slapped his hand away. “Touch me again and I’ll—” “You’ll what?” His voice dropped, low and commanding. “Scream? Run? There’s nowhere for you to go. You belong to me now.” Before I could react, he moved. One moment I was standing by the door, the next he had me pinned against the wall, one strong hand around my throat — not squeezing, just holding me there, reminding me of how easily he could control me. His other hand braced beside my head. “I’m not your toy,” I hissed, trying to sound brave “No,” he agreed, leaning in until his breath caught near my ears. “You’re going to be so much more. You stay with me. In my world. In my bed. I own that p***y and every part of your delicious body . He was assessing his rights over me . I was being used as a pawn , a tool and it was all because of the mistake my father made . Tears slipped down my cheeks. “Why? Why me?” He used his thumb to wipe my tears , but his eyes remained cold . “Because the moment I saw you behind that bar, I knew. And after last night… I’m not letting you go. Ever.” He stepped back and threw me a robe. “Go shower .It has been a long night. We’re leaving in ten minutes. Try to run, and I’ll carry your dead body just like your family.its your choice”. I stared at him, hatred and something darker — that same unwanted pull from last night — circling inside me. My body still remembered his touch. I got in the bathroom and shut the door almost immediately.I turned the shower on and stepped in letting the water wash away my thoughts. This was it - The end for me. I sobbed even in the shower knowing that was the only thing I could do . I had trapped myself by walking unknowingly into the lion's den. I was dining with the devil and the first thing he took in return was my freedom. There was no escaping Damien Voss. Not anymore.
