Zander’s POV
I’m up on the stage as they announced the players. I searched for Isabella’s pink bunny sweatshirt in the crowd, but I couldn’t find her anywhere. I saw Theo standing by himself. Where the hell is Isabella? Then I saw her walk in through the entrance, and I breathed a sigh of relief.
It took about 20 minutes for the introductions, cheers, and regular rally fodder. I’m not one for being in the spotlight. I know I’m the quarterback, but I really just prefer to be in the background, making the team as a whole look good. The coach went to each player for some questions and comments. I was last.
“So, Zander, is there anything you’d like to say to all the fans?” Coach asked.
