I know Raina was only trying to make sure things are good between Brooke and me, but I won’t let anyone make my mate feel uncomfortable, not even my closest friend.
However, she does do me the biggest favor by getting Brooke to agree that I’m one a good mate. I don’t know a single dragon who isn’t everything their mate wants or needs. It’s in our bones and our soul to want to make our mates as happy as possible, but it was still nice hearing Brooke agree with Raina.
After we say goodbye, I lead Brooke to Mom’s house. I walk us by the water, partly because it’s quieter here and partly because Brooke has Aunt Kay’s water dragon DNA, so being near any body of water makes her feel comfortable.
“So, are you feeling any better about us moving in together?” I ask as we walk.
