Those disciples ate really good and unselfish for what they did.
But no matter how good an organization is, there will still be some bad men.
Some greedy people, surely might be part of the disciples, try to useal what have been sealed
Never underestimate the greed caused by selfishness, it is the scariest kind and has the power to destroy others or oneself.
Similar to the owner of [The Deceiver's Third Note] or the one who summoned it, and how people used the news of [The Immortal Note] to light those with the other notes into the light; I'm attracted as well.
I couldn't deny the fact.
When I went through [The Deceiver's Third Note] and saw its attributes, and knew there were seven more, my interest was piqued.
I really wanted to know what the other seven notes can do
Therefore, I might need to slightly play along with the mastermind, allowing the mastermind to slightly lure the people that have the remaining notes.
The Deceiver's Note is a collection of eight notes, the most powerful of them is the [Immortal Note]. Although each of the notes is powerful on its own, if one person can have all the notes, that is being Immortal.
That is the reason I asked Carter to gather all information on Deceiver publicly and on a katve scale.
However, out of my expectations Paul paid me a visit and obviously , the police captain had much more accurate Intel channels than I would expect.
"Carter, let captain Paul in" I said
"Yes, My Lord"
Carter opened the last chain lock and opened the door, bowed and said "inside please"
His actions were really official and standard as if he were a qualified butler.
However, the person who walked into the room didn't notice that Paul was blinded by his boiling rage and wasn't in the mood to notice all those small details, the other officers were shrinking in fear
Without further delay, pudder strode over to me and displayed an official warrant in front of his face .
"Levin, according to reliable information, you are hereby suspected to be texted to a case of muder. Now, I need you to come with me"
"Murder case?"
I was stunned and automatically thought of what happened in the garage last night but I shook my head quietly right away.
"Before entering the garage, I made sure I concealed my figure, moreso, only the members of b****y Ridges ate in that garage and I'm pretty sure that the light destroyed everything. Whoever saw me must have died
Unless someone have a skill or equipment like "The Holy Veil", they can never be able to trace any of the events to me
I raised my hands and stopped ferris who wanted to intervene , I didn't stand up from the chair and Paul was standing looking at me
"Captain Paul, do you really believe I'm rekayed to that murder?".
Paul was slightly hesitant and ultimately shook his head
"I don't. Seeing how smart you are yesterday in the police station, you are not so stupid to appear in the bright and walk under a surveillance camera, leaving behind such perfect evidence for us but… the others trusted their own eyes, especially those self righteous bastards.
Paul twitched his mouth obviously hinting at something.
"So, I still have a chance to redeem this?" I asked with a smile
"You do but not now. Now, you must follow me back to the station" Paul emphasized.
"Very well then. Carter, stay here and take care of things until I'm back"
I stood up and followed Paul out of the room. Before I left, I purposely left ano order for Carter.
Carter knew what I wanted him to do, just like he understood he must rob the officers that came here out if their will to arrest, allowing them to understand who they came to face.
Under Carter's predating gaze, the officers trembled and all moved closer to their captain who they deemed is a friend of the predator's boss.
According to the protocol, I must be accompanied by tei officers while I will be seated in the middle and if necessary, I should be cuffed
But no one followed the damn protocols, no one was courageous enough to cuff me and no one wanted to sit in the same car with me .
Unfortunately, two unlucky bastards were picked by Paul
Carter shifted his predating gaze to the two officers that were picked right after they were selected. His hardened face have words written on it, as if he was saying "hey, I'll remember you"
The predating gaze from Carter made the two unlucky officers shiver when they got into the car, they even kept their distance from me. They sat so close to the car's door as if they are going to jump out if it of o made the slightest move.
Paul, who was in the passenger's seat, frowned and tried to say something about the scene but eventually, nothing came out of his mouth.
The group traveled back to the police station safely and smoothly.
This is my second time in the police station. Although, the life in living here, it is not mine. The existence of the super villain Levin who is dead makes things easier for me, he is hated by the police but he is also also feared by them. Moreso, there are beings that the common police cannot fight against, that is the reason the guild sent me here in the first place.
I wonder how many will feel. I heard I went to the police station twice. When I went to the guild's correction center, she was mad and scared.
While the officers were reportedly in, Paul brought me into the familiar interrogation room .
Paul didn't even have to say anything, I pulled the chair behind the table and sat down .
"Seems like this place is really safe" I said with a smile
