I didn't leave the main room because I don't know anything about this house. Mila was just pacing around the house. She is in disbelief and discomfort and she keeps saying words like 'I can't believe this'.
I checked the watch on my hand and it said 7pm. I urged Mila to calm down and go prepare a meal for us which she did without complaining a bit.
She served the meal when it was ready and came to the main room to call me but then we heard a knock on the door . She went for it but before she opened the door I stopped her, I told her to move away from the door and I went to open the door myself. When I got to the door , I called to the person on the other side
"Who's there?"
"Won't you open the door first?"
The feminine voice sounded with arrogance in it and I can also sense the surprise in her voice too.
I silently ask Mila if she knows who is at the door and she mouthed a name 'Mist'
Mist doesn't sound like a name but since it is a super villain, there is no need to doubt the name. But the name doesn't sound good because mist is meant to cover something and it is easy to kill someone without the person knowing in a mist. I wore the Holy Veil and opened the door, a young lady entered.
She have a gentle , pretty face just like Mila, as she entered, she smiled broadly
"So it is both if you that are here, hmm, that's good"
"What's the problem?"
I asked the lady
"There is no problem, I guess you two must have seen a Big Mac, right?"
"Yeah, we left him at the alley"
"Hmph, I don't know why he is yet to do the assignment Black hawk gave him but that is why Black hawk made a back up"
"Mila, why don't you go set the table, I'll join you later"
I waited for Mila to completely leave the main room before I converse with the lady, I also played along with her like a know nothing about them wanting to kill us
"What does Black hawk want Big Mac to do, maybe I can help him"
"Oh no you can't, it is a top secret in the cult. Why did you cover your face anyway?"
"That's a top secret too"
Mist and I didn't talk for a long time, we were just staring at each other until she decided to talk first.
"Black hawk has ordered your death and Big Mac is to execute it, Incase Big Mac failed, I'm the back up"
"Why does he want to kill us?"
"He suspects that you and Big Mac want to kill him"
"Which of us is strong enough to kill Black hawk?"
"Of course none of you can kill Black hawk but of you two fight Black hawk, with Mila on your side, you might kill him so he wants to one of you to die first before killing the other"
"So his plan is to make Big Mac and I fight, whoever win, he will kill later"
"Yes. I have went to the alley and I saw Big Mac's corpse so I'm here to kill you"
Immediately she finished the sentence, mist appeared in the room and covered everywhere.
At first the mist was fade and I can still see things very well but as time goes by, the mist is getting denser that it was and in free seconds, the mist was very dense that to here a thing, it must be very loud and to see a thing, it must come very close to my eyes
I don't know if the mist here can hinder the Holy Veil but I still activated the Holy Veil sight and sense. I can't pick any sound around me, I can't even sense Mist in the house. I called Mila to hear if she is safe but I guess she can't hear me either.
Although the Holy Veil cannot see in the mist, it still improved my sight and hearing so I decided to go to the dining room and check on Mila. With great difficulty, I found my way to the dining room only to see Mila barely holding up in her fight against Mist. The mist in the dining room is not as dense as that in the main room so with the help of the Holy Veil, I'm able to see and hear clearly. I drew out my sword and joined Mila in her fight but Mist is still having the upper hand. Somehow she is using her mist to increase the density of gravity in the room, making it very hard for us to lift our swords.
I cannot bear the weight of the sword on my hand so I dropped it. When I dropped the sword, both Mila and Must drew a distance from me and I heard Mila say 'try not to hurt me please"
I'm sure the dead Levin's power must somehow be out of control if he hurt his own girlfriend with it. Mist doesn't give up though, she kept fighting Mila and after defeating her, she threw her beside me saying
"Let me watch you die in the hands of your lover"
Well, I'm not her lover so I might not be out of control like her dead lover. I say on the floor and I started cultivating, trying to make my spirit affect realism again. The last time, I made a sword with my spirit energy but this time, I want to make something that can fight better in this mist. To do that, I need great concentration and silence. Thanks to the mist, I can have all the silence that I want, I even take off the Holy Veil to have total silence. Except for Mia's whimpers which I compelled her to stop, I can't hear anything else
I close my eyes as I start cultivating, Mist was looking at me with odd eyes, suspecting something about me to be off but Mila is only shivering in fear. The it arrived
