"I'm not joking, I really don't know. You can't expect me to know the mastermind behind after I saved a lady who coincidentally got secrets of b****y Ridges, right?. Come on I'm am not here to prove cop's incompetence, am just trying to right my wrongs"

I maintained my manner of slow speaking when Paul was shouting at me

Paul took in deep breaths and calmed his rage, it didn't mean he completely believed me

"Tell me what you know and don't even think about lying! Otherwise, I'll put you behind the bars for good"

Paul threatened

"If I may, I'll walk you through while you ask your men where they brought Ms. Emma Eddie. She is the o e who heard the secrets of b****y Ridges, and arrange enough men to protect her, I worry for the lady's safety"

I stood up to walk out of the interrogation room but Paul beat me to it

"You really are an a*s, why didn't you tell me earlier? It's important "

The captain scolded me while dashing onto the office area picking up the nearest phone he could get.

"If I said it earlier, would you believe me? Or do you now believe what I say?"

I shrugged when I saw pudder getting worked up

Everyone was an adult there, it was best for it to remain as such

Without a long period of contact and multiple interactions, can people trust each other simply without any doubt?

Even with multiple interactions and long periods of contact, some people still find it hard to trust others. Both side will envy, suspect and sometimes fight each other. It was the reality of human interaction.

While watching pidder yell at the phone, I leaned on the wall and muttered to myself in a small tone that only I could hear "should have gotten the news, right!"

While Paul was yelling at me, Emma Eddie was also cursing me

"Damn that f*****g bastard! Why the hell did I trust him? Wanted to lodge a report with the police?"

Emma Eddie Fe like she was a pret the gat has fallen into my trap as she watched the patrolling officers on duty outside the tightly locked cell

The feeling was utterly terrible and it kaje her stump her feet but her way of expressing anger always made her hurt the wound on her back

She was locked up in a cell and she cursed me over and over again. She looked beside her only to find Mist in the cell but her side. She shifted back and her gaze lingered on Mist. An evil smile appeared on Mist face and it turn to a smirk

Fear lingered on Emma Eddie's face and she called the attention of the patrol officer

"Hey, hey, how can you lock this lady with me, do you know who she is? Do you know she is a…"

"Shut up b***h, your noise will disturb other people in the cell. You want them to start an uprising now?"

The patrol officer completely neglect Emma Eddie's words and he keep checking all the cells and the prisoners in them

"Hey, she is a super villain, she can just kill anyone without getting out if the cell"

Emma Eddie tried getting the attention of the patrol officer but the man got upset and left

"Super villain? Does anything like that exist! I'd only heard of super humans before. I'll live you to your madness lady"

Although Emma Eddie and Mist were kept in two different cells, Emma Eddie was shifting backwards to make sure there is enough space between her and Mist but soon her back touched the end of her cell. She was making soft whimpers and sniffing when the smirk never left Mist's face

"You dare impersonate Mila, you messed with Black Hawk, then you don't know what you're into. Hahaha"

"Shut up you stupid b***h"

Emma Eddie knew running was not an option especially when she is locked up in a cell. Even if Mist can summon mist, she can't kill her without coming close to her so Emma Eddie summoned her courage and talked back to mist.

"Levin found out that you are an impersonator so he locked you up, Black Hawk is going to do worse things to you. You think this cell can stop Black Hawk from killing you? Hehe, it will just take a snap of his hand to kill you" Mist voiced out her threats

"I guess there is nothing you can do from the cell that you are, you f*****g b***h. There are lots of cops here, I'll like it o watch your Black Hawk dodge all if them and come here to save you or kill me"

Emma Eddie knew their fight had gone up to word fight and she will not lose at that, she hurled abusive words at Mist and made fun of her.

Mist got angry and killer intent was shown on her face, she punched the iron barrier between the cells angrily but she only hurt her hand.

"Not so good without magic huh, hahaha"

Emma Eddie's laughter echoed across the cell and then she sensed something was off.

Everywhere was silent, she could hate the indistinct chatter from other cells and the constant laughing by the patrol officers.

Emma Eddie looked around her in fear but she found no one around.

"My people are here, I thought you said you are eager to see how they will do?"

Emma Eddie was shaking vigorously while Mist was smiling. Suddenly, a feather flew out of nowhere and hit Mist on her neck. Mist furrowed her brows and held her neck with her hands but that didn't stop the suffocation that she is feeling right now. In a few seconds, Mist died.

Emma Eddie stared at the body of Mist and saw the feather.

It was a sign of the arrival of a supervillain

Black Hawk!

"Black Hawk!"

Emma Eddie exclaimed.
