I said as I took the name card from the table.
The name card only has Nicole's name on it and his phone number, it has the same design as "my" name card but the quality is heaven and earth apart.
Nicole's card was made of some kind of metal, it didn't just make it feel substantial, it also elevated it's status to the next level .
After inspecting and double checking, making sure you here is nothing harmful on the name card, I put it on my pocket
Nicole's smile grew friendlier when he saw me take the name card. He spent the upcoming minutes guiding me, who really didn't know much about the city and North, and he also told some interesting stories about the city.
The stories are uninteresting to me, but Nicole told them in a way that made them intrude. I just want to keep listening to him.
Nicole didn't just chat in a decent manner, he took the initiative to give me some tips and skills, what I can do to survive when I'm stuck in a particular position.
Unfortunately, Nicole with his type of character was one that is very hard to hate, but I still didn't lower my guard because of his kindness.
I also know the saying "hiding knives in smiles" so I still kept my normal attitude.
We both chatted until the delivery guy finally brought my breakfast.
"I'll leave you then, the lawyers and I will be outside. Just call loudly if anything happens"
Nicole said in a gentlemanly manner when he saw how I anxiously took the burgers and orange juice.
"Mm"
I nodded and munched on the burger in my hand.
The beef patty was grilled to its most tender state, a bite of the patty filled my mouth and the orange juice was mixed with savory taste of beef
After munching a few times, before even swallowing the one in my mouth, I stuffed a big bite on my mouth and watered it with the orange juice , taking a big gulp from the bottle.
The officer on guard was dumbstruck when he saw my own way of gobbling down the food.
Unfortunately, the officer swallowed his saliva as well, he had a thought in his mind, reminding him to have burgers for dinner after today's shift
While Will, who is also watching the room, shared the same thought.
"Is he a refugee?" Will asked himself
He then contacted Nicole from a distance and told him what he saw
"He is really as poor as the record says, yet he is a secret member of the Dungeon Monster Hunting Guild, he maintains a heart of justice…this is the kind of person we need. Raise Levin's surveillance level, list him as an important surveillance target." Nicole smiles as he replied to his partner
"Ok, I will…"
"Dammit Nicole, The Doppelganger struck again, he killed another b****y Ridges Member "
"Wait huh, did b****y Ridges get the back side of lady luck? Bone Cracker, King Kong and The Predator are all there!" Will cried out in shock.
Nicole's expression sunk to rock bottom.
Bloody Ridges wasn't an organization that stood outside the common area, instead most of the time they occupied a corner of the civilian city block.
While The Predator, Bone Cracker and King Kong all are notorious super villains, these evil idiots won't care about the effects of war on the environment, they'll just fight when they feel like and the innocents will be caught in a crossfire
Mission importantly, the trio super villains are not some common super villian that any super human can handle
"Call the others and try to stall the three if them, I'm in my way"
Nicole was ready to leave after communicating with his partner through his earpiece.
Meanwhile, the door if the interrogation room opened, I came out, wiping my mouth
"I heard exercising after a good meal is food for your health"

Meanwhile, inside an office, Garnett was looking at his feet, his face was gloomy and depressed, to the point that it looks scary
Garnett didn't just lose a temporary hide out last night, even Kansas, one if his men who was still very useful was killed after that and now, another core member of the organizations had his throat slit on the public
"Damn it"
Garnett fiercely threw the cigarette into the ashtray , his face was showing a sense if regret
He really did regret it now.
He thought this was a hard to come by chance for him and fired b****y Ridges, who knew things would unfold like this…
The grand plan that he had in mind hadn't even been realized and his left and right hand men were killed.
Who will be the next then?
Such a question popped up in Garnett's mind, it made the boss of b****y Ridges to be more anxious and restless. He waved his hand and signaled to his men to take care of the body.
He then pulled out the drawer at the bottom of his desk, taking out a cell phone
The cell phone was given to him by "that person" he was also warned not to make a call unless absolutely necessary
No doubt, now was the right time to do that. Garnett died the only unknown number in the cell phone and patiently waited for it to get through
Then he heard the mechanical voice saying the line is busy, "that person had hung up in him"
Garnett was stunned. He called the unknown number right away but this time, he got the mistirect answer, "thus number is unavailable".
"FVCK"
Garnett thru the phone at the wall in front of him

The phone shattered into pieces.
Garnett was panting heavily as he glanced over the scattered parts of the phone
"He knew he was abandoned by that person, in other words, that person planned to do so from the beginning: using him, then abandon him to attract the attention of the public
Garnett wasn't stupid and woke up from his greed and figured out the grand plan behind thus but thus seemed to be too late.
