As she stood breathless and nervous, he pulled a stack of papers from the top drawer of his desk.
"Take these. Read them very carefully. You have one week. If they are not returned to my office within seven days of today, then your request is denied and will never be revisited. No excuses. If you decide not to pursue this endeavor, then that is fine. I will not contact you."
He handed her the stack across the desk. "The first pages are a detailed description of what your training will entail. I highly suggest you read very carefully more than once. More than twice." He stood and walked to her side. Linea's eyes never moved, staring straight ahead, letting him vanish from her line of vision, but not her brain.
"The next pages are limits. The first page is everything that will be part of your training. If you object to any of those things, you may not continue. The next page is a list of other acts. These are often hard limits for individuals. Please put a check by any act you refuse to do, and that is considered a hard limit. Those will be honored in your training, but re-negotiated when you have your own master. Anything you leave blank is fair game."
He slipped between Linea and his desk. Linea's eyes were focused on the first page of documents. "Look at me," he commanded.
Linea's eyes snapped to attention unnerved by the intensity he thrust at her.
"The page after that is a non-disclosure, while the one following it, is a consent form that you are entering into this agreement of your own free will."
Her eyes still focused on his. He reached out and brushed a stray hair from her forehead. "The final pages are of a personal nature. I have to have a complete medical history including any medications you take as well as a statement that you are disease free. Also, if not already, you must be on birth control and prove it. Finally, I will need your clothing sizes."
Linea grasped the stack of papers like they were gold. She wanted to speak, but knew better than to make that mistake again.
"Do you wish to ask a question?" he said.
"When I return these to you, how long until...." she trailed off. Before she finished the sentence, she was second guessing her decision. His gaze unnerved her to the point she had to pee.
"If you return the forms, then you will have one week before coming to my home for training. At that time, a car will pick you up at your home. You are only to bring with you the clothes you are wearing, a toothbrush and any specific toiletries you use, including makeup. However, during any training you will not wear makeup until told to do so. You may bring a cell phone, but its use will be restricted to certain times and time limits."
She looked again at the paperwork, eager to leave his office to catch her breath, but she was learning quickly to follow exactly what he said.
"Linea," That was the first time he used her name, and the sound of her name rolling off his lips tickled her down deep. "You may leave now, and thank you for your interest."
Just like that, Linea was dismissed as he went back to his desk, opening a laptop before proceeding to type, completely ignoring her.
She turned still looking at the papers as she walked from the office. A sense of elation swirled with tinges of trepidation and anxiety filled her mind.
Her life was never going to be the same.
