Chapter 55Huang Yu did not break form once throughout the all-around competition. The gold was his for the taking. Ben was in second, having slipped a bit on his floor routine. His mental state was not what it should have been on the most important day of his athletic career.
The stands were filled with important people—Ben’s parents, Kat, Tanya, Booger Fisher, Tyler and Taylor Hin, even Igor and Ivan were in attendance, trying to hide, somewhat impossible at nearly fourteen feet tall combined.
As Ben counted everyone who had come, he was most focused on two who hadn’t.
