A TRIP TO A HAUNTED CASTLE

TRUTH & DARE- LET THE GAMES BEGIN

After our dinner, we all sat on the floor of the living room to play Truth & Dare. I sat in between Brandon and Charlie, Teressa next to Charlie while Natalie sat next to Brandon. I frowned at this, but forced myself to shrug it off. I noticed that both Natalie and Shiela is giving Brandon lustful looks. I am not the only one though, because Teresa noticed it too and shook her head. Peter sat in between Teresa and Regan while Shiela sat next to Natalie. Miles sat next to her and Christopher sat next to Regan. Neil and Nitin sat in between Miles and Christopher.

Neil changed the rules of the game to some extent. No one can choose Truth for three times in a row. Everyone has to choose Dare at least once, and if anyone fails to complete the dare, he or she has to take a shot of gin. If anyone is telling us a lie, then also they have to take a shot. A tray of shot glasses is placed near us. We are using an empty wine bottle to spin, Miles, spun it first.

It landed on Teresa, she whined, " Why God, why do you hate me so much?" All of us chuckled, yeah she is a bit of a drama queen. Miles asked, " Truth or Dare?"

Teresa, " Truth."

Miles groaned, " Killjoy".

I encourage Miles, " make it a good one."

Miles shot her a smirk, " are you a masochist?" All of us are congratulating him for asking an out-of-the-box question. I am struggling to prevent myself from laughing, as I know the answer.

Teresa shot us an incredulous look and lowered her head. A blush is slowly creeping towards her cheeks. She answered in a low voice, " Yes, I am."

The boys hooted, " Wow, we never knew the good girl is so kinky. Wooh mama!" I could not stop myself anymore, I burst out laughing, rolling on the floor. Teresa silently mouthed " you are so dead" to me to which I just shrugged. Ok, I may have told Miles about her fetish so that we could make fun of her. Teresa spun the bottle and it landed on Brandon.

Brandon, " Dare!"

Teressa smirked, " Kiss Maxine. On the lips!" My mouth hung open at her words. She knew about my crush on Brandon, and she decided to use it against me in the game.

Brandon, " my pleasure" and winked at me. He leaned forward and I can feel his breath on my neck. I shivered inwardly, and felt like the whole world around me is dissolving. My heart is beating wildly and I may pass out from anticipation. I closed my eyes and felt his lips on mine. His lips are so soft and tasty. I can feel his desire in the kiss and I am on cloud nine.

A jolt of electricity shot through me and rational thoughts flew out of my mind I passionately kiss him back, forgetting about our other friends. I only broke the kiss when I heard someone cough. I blushed in embarrassment to which others cooed and hooted.

And by someone, I mean Neil. He patted Brandon on his shoulder and said, " Good job, brother." To which Brandon just shrugged and poked me in the cheeks. I slapped his face away, he laughingly said, " you know you look extremely cute when you blush, babe. My cheeks grew redder at his words, and how he called me babe. He is openly flirting with me in front of our friends. I looked at Teresa to find her giving me a thumbs-up and a small grin.

I found Charlie is giving me a weird look and shooting daggers at Brandon, to which the latter is absolutely oblivious. What the hell happened to him? I shook my head and spin the bottle. This time it landed on Natalie. She chose Truth. I asked her, " Who would you date among the boys if given a chance?"

Natalie, " Charlie, since Brandon is clearly interested in you and vice-versa." All of our friends cheered, however, I glanced at my best friend. Her face is blank, but I know she is devastated. Natalie spun the bottle and it landed on Charlie.

" Dare."

" Propose someone. It must be romantic and special."

Charlie smiled, " Sure." He went towards Teresa, and said " Teresa, I always been in love with you. I never had the courage to confess my feelings to you. I mean you are a beautiful girl, and I was a skinny nerd. So, I have always watched you from afar. I stalked you everywhere, from your dance classes to your dates. Will you be my girlfriend?"

Teressa, " Yes." All of us erupted into cheers and congratulations. Natalie, " Ah man. My bad luck." I am happy for them, but I could not shake the feeling, that Charlie is lying. I feel his eyes are on me, even when he is proposing to Teressa. Nah, maybe I am too paranoid, I thought. The games continued, each of us doing silly tasks and telling embarrassing truths about themselves, and ordering others to do the same. Sometimes, we had to take the shots too. Miles drank most of them, I have the least amount of shots. At midnight,we stopped it, feeling extremely tired.

Miles said he is going outside for a smoke. Charlie told him to come outside.on as there are many dangerous animals out there. Miles nodded and headed outside. We bade goodbye to others, and went towards our room. After changing, I and Teresa went straight to sleep.

Charlie is pacing furiously in his room, how dare Brandon steal his girl, his Maxine. He is the ultimate player changes women like clothes. And how could Maxine fall for his charms? Charlie is much more furious at himself though. Why couldn't he confess his feelings to her? He has to propose Teresa to remain close to her. He did not give a damn about Teresa, either in school or now.

He opened a bottle of wine and poured himself a glass. He has to calm down, before doing anything. No, the alcohol couldn't calm him down. He went towards the eastern section of the castle, crossing the living room. However, he missed Miles who is just back from outside. Miles wondered where Charlie is going right now. He noticed that his host is going towards the eastern section. Miles clearly remembered Charlie telling him that the eastern section is in a dilapidated situation. So, where is he going? He mentally debated whether to call him back or follow him. Ultimately, he decided to do neither and went towards his room to get some sleep.

Unaware of this, Charlie unlocked a door and went inside the room. This room is his personal shrine, filled with photos of his love. He lovingly caressed the cheeks and murmured, " Soon you'll be mine, honey. Brandon will just break your heart, and I will save you from heartbreak. I will make sure the two of you never end up together. I will make sure of that."

He smiled at the laughing face of Maxine and whispered,
