The street had become jammed with burning vehicles. Now, a Soviet T-34 entered the fray at high rate of speed. It sideswiped what was left of their armored car as it headed straight for Peg Leg and his cannon. I managed to lob a gasoline bomb in front of the speeding caterpillar treads. The explosion rocked the tank and caused its tread to snap off in a blast of smoke, but the momentum was enough to crush Peg Leg under its cast-iron wheels. I tossed another bomb. This time the turret burst into flames and spewed thick oily smoke into the sky. As the Russian crew clambered out, they were met by a barrage of fire.
