Paxton's POV
I stood in the hall, leaning against the wall since I had nothing better to do. Students walked past me in groups, laughing, gossiping, and complaining. I only watched them without saying anything, and besides, I wasn’t really looking at them.
My mind was somewhere else. My ice kept drifting from one place and back to the place again. I just know she’s here somewhere, but I can’t make a move. It’s because she’s with Tiana.
She seems to be avoiding me all the time, and I don’t want to scare her because of my impatience. I don’t know why I care so much about what she thinks about me now, when I didn’t use it before.
One of my guys stepped beside me.
“Boss,” he said quietly, “do we have someone who will watch him today? You’re acting like we’re tracking someone.”
