The transfer 2

I let go of princess Ara's hand and the transfer stopped. But my whole body is still hurting all over. My breathing is still labored. I think I'm going to die. I rolled to the floor as my whole body felt like i'm literally on fire.

"What's going on?" Princess Akana asked. I heard the concern in her voice. But she seems to be the only one surprised. The other four are not panicking. They knew exactly what's going to happen.

"His body is reacting to the transfer of power," the devil explained.

"But don't worry it's totally normal he's going to survive this, " Kai assured her.

"Are you sure? He looks like he's in real pain. Are you sure he'll survive this? Should I call a doctor? '' Akana is the only one panicking and of course me.

"No need for that. He needs to survive this on his own. Well he has to," Kai stopped her from calling the doctor.

These bastards are liars. They tricked me. They know this is going to happen. I think my head is going to burst. How many times is my life going to be in danger if I stay with them?

As I rolled to the floor in pain Akana checked her sister. "Why is my sister not waking up yet?" she asked.

"The transfer of power is not complete yet," Kai explained. "She was only able to transfer 50 percent of the power to Niccolo. But her life is no longer in danger. So that's still good news."

"After he recovers we will continue the transfer," the devil said.

"But how long? A day? An hour?" Akana asked. She's desperate for her sister to wake up.

"A month. A year. We are not sure yet. Depends on his determination." The devil looked at me. My whole damn is going on an overdrive.

As they talk about my potential recovery. I dont think I'm going to recover at all. I'm hurting all over. I don't think my body can handle the pain anymore.

"If we forced him to absorb that much power is there a possibility that he could die?" Akana asked while I'm already in the fetal position struggling to even breathe from so much pain.

"There's a possibility, yes. That's why we need to wait until he recovers."

"But we don't have time," the ghost protested. "If we wait for him to recover we will be found out here. We're not the only group looking for him. The council wants him dead. We need to keep moving if we want him to survive."

"And we can't stay here overnight. We need to bring your sister with us. And you need to leave the castle if you also want to survive, " the devil also informed Akana.

"You know I won't let you take my sister. You have to kill me first to do that.'' The tension starts to grow between them again.

I wanted to stop them. But my body is killing me. I was about to lose consciousness when a bright light appeared before me. Am I dead?

"Hello Niccolo." The voice is so soothing that my whole body forgets all the pain.

"Who are you?" I asked. I don't know why but I started to tear up. I have no idea who she is but I feel like I've known her all my life.

"Stay strong Niccolo. I will stay by your side no matter what." She then embraced me and my whole body instantly healed. All the pain left me. And the warmth returned. I felt like I was floating. And then I opened my eyes.

And that's when I saw Kai, Eeli, Margareth, Lucian and Akana. They all look confused and terrified.

"What's wrong with you guys? You all looked like you saw a ghost," I joked.

"Are you okay?" The angel asked.

"I'm fine, what's going on?" They are all still looking at me weird.

"We all thought you died," Akana said

"I saw your soul leave your body. We all did, " the ghost seconded.

"I'm alive and I feel fine."

I can't blame them if they all thought I wouldn't survive. Minutes ago I was rolling in pain after I took my power back from princess Ara.

And speaking of princess Ara. "Wait did princess Ara already wake up?" I asked.

"Not yet. You only got half of your power. She's still in a coma." the devil informed me.

"So should I hold her hand again and finish the process?" I asked. I don't know why but after I get half of my power back I feel suddenly reborn and confident.

I was about to hold princess Ara's hand again. When the angel walk towards me then slightly poke my forehead. Then my whole body started aching like hell again. I didn't realized that I was covered with wounds.

"We need to at least wait for a week for you to recover. We cannot risk your life." Kai explained.

"You've been putting my life at risk this whole day." I retorted.

"Not this time. You need to survive this. You are so closed in taking your power back."

"You're not bringing my sister." Akana again protested.

"She's right you can't bring her to wherever you came from. She's still in a coma." I seconded. Humans need to stick together after all.
