"Lexi?" I hear someone call out to me.
"Lexi?" The voice repeats.
I feel groggy, as I slowly wake myself up.
"Lexi?" I hear the familiar voice call out once more.
"Xavier?" I say stunned.
When I open my eyes, I turn to see Xavier exiting the closet as he finishes getting ready for work. I sit up, trying to get my bearings.
"What's going on?" I ask.
I watch as Xavier turns to face me, taking slow strides in my direction.
"What do you mean what's going on?" He inquires.
I try to figure out what's going on, but it's like my mind is blank. I have no recollection of anything that's happened. Something feels wrong, but I have no idea what. I shake my head, as if ridding my mind of the dark thoughts. I turn to face him, and smile.
