Chapter 6- Rose POV
Have you ever gotten the feeling that someone’s watching you? Well, that’s me right now but the only problem is I don’t want to find out because something tells me it’s better left alone.
Today I don’t have school or work and none of my friends can hang out so I might as well go to waste my time in the city. Walking down the street I come across an animal shelter and there's a sign on the window in big words ‘FREE ADOPTION TODAY! Come in and find your NEW BEST FRIEND’. Walking inside I am greeted by the workers and a bunch of families looking at the cute puppies barking and jumping around. Heading to the back of the kennels I see a ball of fur buddle up, isolated from the rest of the dogs, looking at the information reads ‘My name is Zeus, I am 6 months old looking for a good home!’ And at the very bottom in bright red letters ‘If not adopted in one week, will be put down’. Without thinking twice I ask a worker to get the proper paperwork to adopt Zeus. Giving me a weird look she ask “Are you sure you want him? Don’t you want to look at the new puppies that came in?” she says with a smile on her face “No thank you, I made up my mind so please get the paperwork ready so I can sign and take Zeus home.” I give her my best fakest smile not caring what she thinks. After what seems forever of paperwork I am greeted with Zeus. Now I know why she acted the way she did because Zeus is no ordinary dog he's a baby pitbull with one eye green and the other blue, his fur is black, but what stands out the most is a scar on his chest. Quickly skimming through the paperwork, it says how Zeus was sadly in a home for dog fights which breaks my heart thinking how anyone can put an innocent animal through so much pain. But that only makes me love him more. Buying all the necessary items for his new home I picked up Zeus and put him in my car heading home.
Emilios POV
“The guys told me she didn’t have work or school and she went into an animal shelter and guess what she adopted,” says Lucas. “I don’t know, just tell me already, I'm not in the mood for guessing games,” I say. “Well she got a baby pitbull, your woman has a soft spot, turns out they were gonna put him down and she wasn’t having none of that s**t told the worker get the paperwork ready so she can take him home.” To my surprise, I figured she would get something more small and cute for a girl like that but boy was I wrong. Smiling I tell Lucas to get me pictures of them together so I can see how she is with him. But already reading my mind he pulls out his phone showing me a video of my girl and her pit getting in the car.
