“Ahhhhhhhh, get her out of your head stupid, she already engaged and will get married within a week”, Bennett cried scolding himself while plopping on his king-sized soft bed.
“Are you going to let her get married?”, a voice, came from nowhere. Bennett raised his body into a sitting position and found his ex best friend / sister-in-law starring him with arms crossed.
“Don’t you have any manners?”, Bennett raised his brow in annoyance.
“Do you even know who Jules is getting married too?”, Charlotte asked him, ignoring his question.
“I don’t know, and I don’t want to know, so please get o-”,
“Bryant Richmond”, Charlotte said curtly cutting off Bennett sentence.
“What?”, Bennett shouted, not believing what he just heard.
“Wow, I wasn’t expecting this from you!”, Charlotte scolded Bennett.
“But why, why would Bryant want to marry Jules?”, Bennett murmured to himself.
“Look Bennett, I don’t know what’s going in Richmond's mind, but whatever is going on, it’s definitely something cruel.” Charlotte said, cursing her own father.
“Aren’t you a Richmond too?”, Bennett raised his brow.
“She’s a Franz now”, Emmett spoke from nowhere.
“Don’t you both husband and wife have any manners?, How can you just come in someone’s room like that, please use that from next time”, Bennett annoyingly said pointing the door.
“Sorry”, Emmett patted on Bennett’s shoulder.
“More over, even if she is a Franz you say, I have no intentions of trusting her especially after what she did in the past”, Bennett said.
“He’s such a bastard”, Charlotte murmured inside her depth.
“I can hear you, Charls”, Bennett said.
A sudden smile came on Charlotte’s pretty face when she heard Bennett calling her Charls, again. It has been decades since her best friend called her that. And it was a clear sign that Bennett was beginning to forgive Charlotte for her past record.
“Okay”, Charlotte said and disappeared into thin air.
Bennett sat on the couch with his legs crossed and started massaging his temples. He was frustrated, and the only thing which can kill his frustration was Jules Flowers.
Emmett sat next to Bennett and rested his head on the couch. “Come on Benny, I know what Charlotte did was cruel, but she did all that to save you, and you know that. You know how you are important to her. You know whenever she drinks hot chocolate, she shed tears of sadness remembering the euphoric moments she shared with her best friends –“, Emmett took paused for a sec and started speaking again. “You know, she had nobody in her life except her brother and her best friends until she met me. Her brother whom she loved dearly betrayed her and one of her best friend, Shally, died on her father’s hand. And you. You aren’t willing to forgive her”, Emmett paused again.
“Don’t you think that’s too cruel?”, Emmett asked Bennett.
Bennett let out a deep sigh. “I have already forgiven her, Emmett. I know that what happened in the past wasn’t her fault.”
“Than why you-“, Emmett spoke in confused but cut off by Bennett.
“I was messing with her, it’s a best friends things, you know.” Emmett didn’t reply in words, instead he threw a pillow on Bennett’s face.
“Son of biscuit eater, that hurt”, Bennett shouted.
“You still curse like that?”, Emmett laughed.
Bennett glared at Emmett, signaling that he should stop. But Emmett didn’t, he loved teasing his big bro.
“Awwwwww big Benny still curses like a baby, awwww”, Emmett teased. And in reply, Bennett threw a pillow on him. Hence, the pillow fight started.
30 minutes had passed and they were still fighting. But thankfully Bennett’s phone rang and they stopped. He picked up his phone and answered the call. It was of Daniel. Daniel Douglas. He was the one who was running the Franz’s business and was one of the most loyal and trustworthy human servant of their. His whole family has served Bennett’s family since ages, and he was serving Bennett since he was six, and was very important to Bennett too. Right now he called to know about Bennett’s health and also to tell him that he has found the medicine. The medicine was not something normal ibuprofen or something. It was a unique herb called “Rimyolla”. Its leaves were purple, and it was something very hard to found, nearly impossible. Any vampire who mixes the leaves with blood and drinks that medicine wouldn’t long for human blood anymore. Emmett, Charlotte and Bennett had already drank this herb ages ago, but the effect of the drug had vanished from Bennett’s blood because of the black magic Mr. Richmond did on him to take Dawn away from him. Mr. Richmond didn’t want to kill Dawn in the first place. He wanted to torment her, because tormenting her was tormenting Bennett, but later he got to know that Dawn had golden blood in her veins. Golden blood is a very rare and powerful blood type. Any vampire who drinks the golden blood gains incredible power and strength. After knowing this he wanted to drink Dawn’s blood, but he didn’t succeed in his plan because Bryant killed her before he could drink her blood.
“Ok Danny, I will tell you what to do next till that time you know what to do”, saying that, Bennett cut the call.
“Danny?, Daniel Douglas? He still works for our family?”, Emmett asked surprised.
“Hmm yes, he’s too good to let go”, Bennett replied with a smile.
“Oh, I see”, Emmett said and paused for a minute. He came near Bennett and patted his shoulder and smiled as he sensed something. “I think I should go now, Benny”, he said. Bennett confusingly raised his brow on his words.
“Ok then, Bye……oh yes, I forgot to tell you something”, Emmett smirked again.
“What?”, Bennett asked.
Emmett came near Bennett and whispered in his ear, “Even if you love her, don’t sleep with her, she’s someone else fiancé”, he smirked.
The door of Bennett’s suite suddenly opened, revealing Jules, she looked sad and drunk. Seeing her, Bennett totally understood what Emmett was talking about. Emmett smirked again and vanished into thin air.
Bennett stared at Jules drunk figure. He walked towards her. She was about to lose her balance but good thing Bennett caught her. She was in his arms now, in his embrace. Jules strangely felt safe in his arms.
“What are you doing here?”, Bennett asked her.
Jules didn’t reply to his question, instead she hungrily smashed her lips on his.
