Chapter Nine . . . . . . It was five in the early morning, the warm rays of sun were making its way in the room through the balcony, birds were singing and cold breeze was dancing while Jules Flowers was still asleep and Bennett Franz was beside her, wide awake, admiring her soft pretty features. He removed a strand of her brown hair which was falling on her face. Jules out of nowhere stretched her arms and rubbed her eyes. “It’s morning agaiiiin”, she whined cutely, her eyes still close. “Yes, I guess so”, Bennett said. Jules eyes opened wide, hearing someone answer her whining. She turned her face and saw Bennett. “Aaaaahhhhhhh-”, she screamed loudly making Bennett’s ears nearly burst, good thing Bennett covered her mouth using his palm. “Shhh, keep it low lady, you sound like a crow”, he said. “What are you doing in my room?”, she asked pulling the duvet over her shoulders covering herself. Her actions made Bennett chuckle. She’s so cute, Bennett thought. “I think you got it wrong, you’re in my room”, Bennett said. Jules looked around and the realization hit her that yes, he was right, she was in his room. She hit her head and curse herself when she remembered that she drank more than 5 bottles of wine because of stress, and it resulted in giving her more stress than she ha already. It resulted in waking up in Bennett’s room. “So-rry, bye”, she stuttered, embarrassed. She was getting up from the bed to leave, but Bennett grabbed her delicate wrist and pulled her down, making her collapse on the soft bed. Jules eyes widened on his actions. “What are yo-”, she spoke, but cut off in the middle by Bennett’s words. “Where do you think you are going wearing this?”, Bennett scolded her. She looked down at her night wear and realized that her night wear was so thin that you can almost see beneath it. “s**t”, she whispered, covering her chest using her hands. Bennett got up from the bed and opened his closet, taking out a white cardigan. He covered Jules with it. “ Thank you”, Jules whispered, but loud enough for him to hear. “You are being so shy, don’t you remember what happened last night?”, he teased, his words making Jules heart pound in horror. “What happen-eed last ni-ghtt?”, she asked. Bennett came closer to her and whispered seductively in her earlobe, “Damn, you really don’t remember”, he smirked. His words sent flashbacks of last night to Jules. She remembered him opening the door and her kissing him. She looked down and stared to the floor, too embarrassed to look Bennett right into his eyes. Bennett took her face in his palms and made her eye contact with his. “Don’t be afraid, don’t be shy, yesterday I told you something, do you remember?”, Bennett asked softly. Jules was going to nod her head now but at the very moment she remembered his words. “Yes, you are getting married but to me, I don’t think there’s something wrong in liking your future husband” A sudden smile crept on her face remembering his words, but that beautiful smile soon faded when she realized that it was impossible. Her father would never let her marry someone other than Bryant and if she ran away with Bennett than the Richmond’s will destroy her family. There was no other option other than marrying Bryant, she has to do this, not for her but, for her family. “Bennett I don’t think that’s possible, I can’t marry someone other than Bry-”, she spoke in a broken voice, but her words got cut off by Bennett’s words. And what he spoke next made Jules eyes wide in shock. “Bryant Richmond is a half vampire”
