What Secret?

Alpha Sae didn't even flinch a bit after hearing it. He kicks Beta Allan's stomach causing him to vomit blood as the impact that he gave was a lot to handle Beta Allan. "It isn't a valid reason to glare at her. Once I saw your eyes glare at her again, you'll be dead. Do you hear me!?" Beta Allan didn't respond which made Alpha Sae grab his ear.

"Did you not hear me?" he whispered causing Beta Allan to speak.

"Y-yes, Alpha Saerrus." He releases Beta Allan from his hands. "But are you really sure about her? She's an omega! She is not qualified to become a Luna for our pack!" Alpha Sae growls loudly causing Beta Allan to immediately bow his head. His body was trembling in fear.

Denise look how Alpha Sae can make Beta Allan bow his head that means his position as an Alpha is something you should be scared of. Denise couldn't believe that she would be able to bump into someone dangerous and powerful.

'I am afraid of him. He is your mate but I am afraid of his wolf.' Denise could hear his wolf voice trembling in fear. She was thinking maybe the beast that she saw last night might be Alpha Sae's wolf. What should Denise do?

She slowly walks towards Alpha Sae holds his hand and smiles before looking at Beta Allan. He might want to hurt Denise but he knew he couldn't as Alpha Sae was protecting her. If he dared to glare at her again, his eyes would be the penalty for glaring at her. He just clenched his fist and gritted his teeth after Alpha Sae and Denise left him alone in the room.

"That girl becomes arrogant just because she is Alpha Saerrus mate!?" he whispered as he still clenched his fist. "Mate? I saw her shoulder, it's empty. Does that mean she isn't marked yet?" Beta Allan smirks as he helps himself get up.

"Let's see if Alpha Saerrus will still protect you after knowing the truth, Denise. Too bad, you still have no mark yet."

Denise was serving Alpha Sae a cup of tea and looked at him stressing about something. "Are you okay, Alpha Sae?" She looks at her and smiles.

"I am fine. You don't have to worry about me. And also, I am sorry about what happened earlier. Did I scare you or something?" Denise shook her head in response. "Hmm, I guess it's good."

"I am sorry." Alpha Sae looks at her with confusion.

"What are you sorry for?"

"For not saying it to you. About Beta Allan and that I am his rejected mate. I was scared of telling about it to anyone especially you, I am afraid that you might kick me out of your house." Alpha Sae looks at Denise who is bowing her head while fidgeting her fingers. Alpha Sae smiled at her.

"You don't have to worry about it. I am not mad at all. Stop thinking about negative things. I don't need to know about your past, we must focus on what is in the present." Denise smiled after hearing it. She was delighted to hear it from Alpha Sae, thinking that she hadn't made a mistake in trusting him.

After a few hours, Denise decided to go to the cafeteria inside the building to buy some food. Alpha Sae gave her money to buy anything that she wanted. When she arrives at the cafeteria, she can smell many humans around the area and only a few werewolves. Some of them were looking at her as an Omega like she couldn't be able to step foot in this building because of her position.

Denise didn't pay attention to it and just found food that could pique her interest until she found one. 'Do you really trust him? I trust him but his wolf isn't.'

Her wolf, Shana spoke in her mind causing her to stop eating her ice cream. She thinks of the beast again but immediately shakes her head.

'Don't overthink too much. All will be alright, besides, Beta Dane is here with us. If something happened to us, Beta Dane would surely go to where we are and help us. Also, Alpha Saerrus told us what we're gonna do if ever the beast would attack us.'

'I think he thought what you saw last night was all just a dream.' Denise thought about it. Maybe it is since she mentioned the nightmare.

After eating the ice cream, they decided to stand up and were about to leave the cafeteria when someone blocked her path. It was Beta Allan, her former mate. He leads her to a place where no one will see them. "What did you do? Did you seduce him? Did some witchcraft? What is it, Denise?"

She pressed her lips and didn't want to talk but Beta Allan glared at her again causing her to speak. "He saved me from Alpha Jack, that's all." Denise is afraid of Beta Allan as he has also tried to r.pe her in the past and physically tortured her. She can't forget what he did to her that traumatized her until now, especially Alpha Jack. These two werewolves were the ones who made her life miserable.

"Save you? That's odd. Maybe we can say because he is your mate, is it really true? An Alpha should not be mated to an Omega like you. Or maybe the Moon Goddess must have gone crazy for choosing you to become the Alpha's mate?"

"Say what you want about me, Beta Allan. It is not your problem anyway. Stop messing my life." Beta Allan holds Denise's hands tightly causing the lady to groan in pain. Beta Allan was growling a bit.

"The Alpha won't be able to know what was happening to you now since the two of you haven't mated yet and he didn't mark you. Whatever sufferings I will give to you now won't make him run in here immediately to save you."

"It hurts, stop holding me. If Alpha Sae will see it, he will be mad at you for sure!" Beta Allan laughs whilst Denise tries to take his hands away from her.

"Mad at me? What if I tell him some of your secrets, huh? What do you think he will do to you, Denise?"
