They took a taxi to Finn’s apartment, riding silently in the cab without exchanging a word. Natalie’s body felt heavy as a weariness seemed to settle upon her, and her limbs felt like she had lead coursing through her veins. Once Natalie and Finn stepped out from the elevator into his penthouse apartment, she immediately sank onto his leather couch in the living room. Leaning her head back, she closed her eyes to fight the latest wave of nausea. “I need a drink,” said Finn, crossing over to the liquor cabinet. “What do you want?” “Something strong.” After a minute or so, she felt Finn sit down on the sofa beside her.
