Cameras flashed wildly as the crowd whooped and hollered with well wishes and congratulations.
Finn could not feel his face. His limbs grew numb as shock seeped through his veins, turning his blood to ice. Delilah clung onto his arm with her manicured, clawed fingers as she flashed an enormous diamond ring to the audience, driving them even more wild.
A ringing in his ears grew louder, stifling the noise of the crowd. He could see them waving and cheering, but he could not hear them as the ringing drowned out everything around him. He felt blinded by the flashing cameras as small dots littered his vision. It took him a long pause to process what had just happened before
