Finn’s words hung heavy in the air between them like a knife over their necks. Natalie could feel her body go into shock as she gazed in wide-eyed disbelief at the limp body on the carpet. Her lips were parted, even though she had completely ceased breathing as realization dawned on her.
Finn tore his eyes away from the body, staring up at Natalie with a frightened, vulnerable expression on his face.
“I…I killed him.”
Natalie gulped hard. Her entire body seemed to go numb at the sight of Finn.
