WEDNESDAY
“Natalie,” he breathed, wearing a longing expression on his face. “Wait, have you been crying?”
He furrowed his brow in concern and took a step toward her, but Connie stepped protectively in front of Natalie to block him from getting any closer.
“She does not want to talk to you!” Connie said angrily as her eyes glared daggers at him.
Finn stepped back with wide eyes, holding his hands up in the air in surrender.
“Natalie,” he repeated, his gaze passing back and forth between them apprehensively. “What’s wrong? What can I do?”
“You have done enough!” declared Connie.
“You’re not crying because of me?” Finn asked, his face contorting into a mixture of pain and guilt. “Oh, God, things have gotten so out of control. If you’d just give me a chance to explain–”
