After spending over an hour trying pointlessly to turn into the human torch, Elizabeth couldn’t do it anymore. And despite his desire for her to be able to control the light the way she could control her sight of the fourth dimension, Ian seemed to realize she’d reached her limit. He asked if she’d like to go to the library, and she jumped at the chance. Like before, everyone who passed by them greeted Ian and her, but their gazes quickly turned to her.
