Luci was in bed for a few days, riding out the emotions Henry felt throughout the entire time she was absent. His emotions ranged from sorrow to annoyance, jealousy, and even lust. Unsure of what he was thinking or seeing, it sent Luci into spirals. Raven asked if it was her them of the month, but in truth, Luci can't remember the last time she had a period.
Of course, she lied and said it was that as well as horrible food poisoning.
It felt weird to feel Henry's feelings and not know why. When he would be angry. her blood would boil, and when sad, she felt so cold she buried herself in her blankets. Worst was the lust. Craving another person and the burning that would build up and explode inside of her each time. It felt good but also horrible as she had to endure riding the sensation alone while thinking Henry was with another person.
Admittedly, she still loved Henry and got jealous because of the other women he would see. But she couldn't handle his father and wanted peace, even if it meant lying to herself and him about her feelings.
His lust would pick up again every now and then, sometimes disappearing sooner than later. And each time, she would try to think of Max. His sweet smile, his voice, anything to distract her from what Henry may have been thinking or even doing.
Thankfully, it was the last day, and the ride of it all was slowly dying down. Luci was glad it was nearly over, but she was also extremely glad they didn't have mirrors in the room.
Since being bedridden, she hadn't gotten her elixir at all, and her pale skin was soon turning a soft gray color. Worse was her feeding frenzy was returning, which worried her for the safety of her friend. Pulling herself off the bed, she grabbed her phone and looked at the time. It was only noon. Raven only woke up early on Thursdays, which would explain why she wasn't around.
Searching her phone, she found Henry's number and called him again. After a few rings, she felt the overwhelming feeling of bitter sweet happiness.
"Luci?" Henry's voice chimed through the phone. You wouldn't expect this man to be a vampire from how cheery and sweet he sounded whenever he was around her. "Everything alright? Raven said you weren't feeling well."
"I'm getting better. Just had a few off days, you know?" Lucis voice was soft and groggy.
"Oh, of course." Henry nervously laughed. He probably figured out the whole reason she hadn't appeared on campus was because of him.
"Can you do me a favor?" She asked sweetly, trying to change the subject.
"Anything for you, pet. Name it."
"I need to feed again. But I'm so exhausted, and I know I can't get outside without burning my skin -"
"Say no more love. I'll be up in an hour, just rest." Henry hung up after she said bye.
It was awkward asking for his help after so long of being independent, but she knew the risks of going too long again. Her mind went back to the other day of pinning the woman to the wall and trying to drain her. She had zero control, but she witnessed it through her own eyes, feeling like a completely different person. She sighed, looking through her phone and seeing an unopened message from Max. One was from Tuesday.
I hope you're feeling better. He added a little heart at the end.
The one from yesterday made her feel bad for not replying sooner.
Hey, I haven't seen you in class or on campus. I hope you're okay, or at least not avoiding me. The sad puppy dog eyes he added made her smile but feel a little bad.
She texted him back, thanking him for the messages, and that she had actually gotten sick for three days but should see him tomorrow. He replied quickly with a heart and a smile.
Luci smiled at the phone while hunched on her bed. She made sure the curtains were closed. Raven and her agreed black out curtains would be best because they both liked the room being dark. For Lucis safety and because Raven loved dark things.
Without needing a mirror, she knew she felt grimy but couldn't go to the commons bathroom since someone might see she had no reflection. And how dead she probably looked.
Executive decision, she brushed her hair and got dressed, putting on deodorant and some perfume so she didn't feel or smell gross anymore. Her mood had swung once more, feeling more elated than usual. Henry's feelings much have been connected still. She did feed on him later in the day, which probably meant she was stuck with his feelings until close to six o'clock tonight.
They weren't as strong, but they could shift the mood in her still.
stretching, she fixed her bed and cleaned up in the room, putting her stuff away and getting ready for her night class she hoped to join. Putting on her oversized hoodie, jeans, and sneakers, she waited for Henry to bring he food.
Hopefully, it wasn't to feed on him again. His intense feelings put her out of commission for the time being. But there was also the issue of who he would bring to feed her. He owned his own blood bank, so hopefully, it was that and not just a random person off the street. He did say an hour, so either he was off campus getting something or needed to go off campus to get it.
Her thoughts pulled her in deep as she sat on her now clean and tidy bed waiting for Henry to arrive. The knock on the door startled her.
"Luci, open up." It was Henry. He came a little sooner than an hour, but she was glad he did. Happiness overflowed her from both herself and him. She opened the door to see the handsome vampire she knew dressed in a beautiful silver suit with a dark purple undershirt, silver tie, and dark black loafers
Taking him in, she forgot how nice he was always dressed and always loved it when he dressed up for her. His hair was even pulled back into a loose ponytail while smaller curls escaped and sprung around. She let him him in, closing the door behind him.
"Did you use charm to get up here?" She smiled, offering him a seat at her desk.
"When you look this good, no one questions you." He smirked. "You look beautiful today." He said as he took her hand and kissed it. The faint feeling of lust pitted in her stomach.
Control yourself, she thought. His feelings are strong, but you gotta be stronger.
"I look like I crawled out of the grave, like in Kill Bill." She joked, sitting on her bed next to him. "But thank you." She stared at her feet, not sure of what else to say. She didn't just want to be rude and ask what he brought her.
Henry just stared at her for a moment before reaching into his jacket and pulling out a couple of bags of blood, both O-, a very expensive type in the community.
"Practically fresh." He smiled. Luci reached for them, but Henry pulled away. He wanted something. She could feel it.
Before Henry could speak, and without a second thought, Luci pressed her lips against his, placing her hands on his cheeks as he hummed in surprise.
His free hand pressed on her back, keeping her there for a moment longer, deeming the kiss before slowly pulling away. Her face was flushed a deep red, and Henry's was a soft pink. She felt the lust grow a bit more, feeling she may have overdone it.
"I was only teasing when I pulled them away." He chuckled. "But I'll accept that as a thank you." He handed her the bags, pulling her onto his lap as she absent-mindedly opened the first one and drank it like a juice box.
Slowly feeling better, Luci laid on his chest, listening to his heartbeat as she finished the first one. He rubbed her back and sides as she went onto the next one, drinking it slower as she closed her eyes.
Luci could feel the color coming back and her vampiric rage disappearing as she finished the second one. She put the blood bags in her trashcan and laid there on Henry, who enjoyed every moment of it.
"Luci." His voice was husky and low. "I don't think this is appropriate."
"What?" Groggy, she adjusted herself on his lap and buried her face into his chest, inhaling his musky aroma that made her quiver. She wasn't sure if the feeling of lust was hers or his anymore, but she didn't want to get out of his lap.
"You're seeing another man." He said as he lifted her into his large, strong arms, placing her on her bed. Before he could let go, she wrapped her arms around his neck and held on. "Luci, let go."
"No. Because I may be seeing someone, but nothing is official." A smirk slid across her face.
Henry cooked an eyebrow, still hovering above her with her arms locked around his neck.
"It's not fair that I had to endure 3 days of feeling everything you felt, including this burning, lustful feeling that drives me insane. And the thought of you with another woman also drives me mad."
Henry swooped her back up, cradling her in his arms as he sat down on her bed. He gently kissed her on the lips, giving her soft pecks before pressing his against her for a long kiss. His thumb pressed on her chin, making her open her mouth as he slid his tongue inside.
She let out a soft moan as their tongues caressed each other, feeling the burning return, but it didn't hurt this time. Henry swung her around as he got on top of her, wrapping her legs around his waist, never breaking their kiss. Tangling his fingers in her hair while the other explored her body.
Their breathing became heavy as they slowly rubbed against each other, Henry giving her lip a soft bite before devouring her mouth again before breaking a part once more with a bridge of saliva between them.
"Is this what you want?" His husky voice softly growled in her ear, nipping at her neck.
"Y-yes Henry, I do." She gasped, trying to keep her voice low. He gripped her wrists and pinned her to the bed as he roughly kissed her again.
He pulled away, standing up as he fixed his suit and hair walking to the door, his breathing still heavy.
"Wh... Henry?" Confused, Luci sat up, watching him. "What are you doing?"
"I love you too much." Was all he said before quickly leaving and closing the door behind him. He left her craving him.
She got up and ran to the door to find an empty hallway. Tears welled up in her eyes as she closed the door and flopped face down on her bed.
"I can't believe I did that." She sobbed into her pillow. "I can't believe HE did that." Her phone rang, still crying she looked at it and saw Max on the screen. Oh s**t. They may not have been together, but she started to feel a bit guilty about what had just transpired. Even though Henry left her. Thankfully, the lust feeling wore off, and she settled down a bit before answering.
"Hey." She said with some pep in her voice. She still sounded upset but tried her best to hide it.
"Hey, you okay? It sounds like you were crying." Max sounded concerned.
"Oh, just watching a sad movie." She lied. Last thing she wanted to do, was hurt Max because of her stupidity.
