Jake's POV
I got a call from my mom's restaurant which had already become mine, that my attention was needed.
I got to the restaurant, heading to my office but who I saw made me stop in my tracks.
It was Aubrey and she was with a guy.
Seeing her with a man took a wrong toll on me and I don't know why myself.
Ever since my first encounter with her, I tried so hard to push her far away from me because I knew she'd become my doom.
She made me feel things I had never felt before and I didn't like it.
Emotions I had buried deep in the depth of my heart, she brought them back to the surface.
Just when I thought I was being successful by burying those feelings back, she had to meet Sharon. And Sharon took a liking to her.
I still do not understand why fate kept making our paths cross.
