“We just ate,” Lilyan said, “I'm not hungry.” She was blushing deeply, her gemstone a dark purple. She obviously did not want to go face Kahn. “Well, Kahn and I are,” Zayd said, “And you could use a snack.” “What time is it?” Lilyan asked. Zayd checked his watch. “A little past 9 pm,” he answered. “I guess I could eat something,” she mumbled. Zayd watched as Lilyan began getting dressed in conservative pajamas. He put on a pair of boxers, sweatpants, and a t-shirt and then led Lilyan out of his bedroom by the hand. He sat down on the couch, pulling her down onto the seat next to him.
