Zayd followed Lilyan back into his bedroom and shut the door behind him, locking the doorknob. She was already stripped down to her underwear and was in his closet, finding clothes for the day. Zayd walked up behind her and slid his arms around her bare waist. He kissed her temple and smiled.
“You're beautiful, princess,” he whispered into her ear. She smiled softly and turned to face him, leaned her head back, stood on her toes, and pressed her lips to his. He kissed her back briefly and then released her, so she could get dressed.
