CHAPTER 4: A CHALLENGE "Welcome to f***o Hostel, little Rebel," he said, his nasal voice barely above a whisper as he stood there. "What are you doing in my room? Why are you here and..." "No one ever asks me that. I go wherever I want and do whatever I need to," he replied with an air of arrogance, stepping closer to her. The voice in her head urged her to run far away from this psycho, but she ignored it. She hadn’t done anything wrong, and there was no reason to flee, so she stood her ground until he was right in front of her, slowly looking up to meet his gaze. "Don't come any closer. I warned you to stay away from me at school," she said, trying to block out the smell of smoke that clung to him. She couldn't stand it. "Yes, and?" he replied, his smirk widening as he moved in closer, their bodies almost touching. "Get away from me!" She pushed against his chest, but it felt like pushing against a wall; he didn’t budge. Instead, he grabbed her wrists, holding her firmly. "Why? Give me one good reason to let you go," he teased, making her grit her teeth in frustration. "Jace, don’t you get it? We’re siblings, and we’re not supposed to be in a relationship. I don’t have any feelings for you, so stop trying to make me fall for you. It’s not going to happen. I hate you. I hate you, Jace!" she shouted, her voice trembling. "Let’s see how that plays out, little Rebel. Let’s see how long you can keep that up," he smirked before releasing her. He turned and walked out of the room without a backward glance. Arianna exhaled a breath she didn’t realize she was holding. "Who does he think he is?" she muttered. After changing into a short black skirt and a red papillon top, she dried her hair. Grabbing her phone, she left the room and immediately texted Dorothy. Not looking up as she typed, she walked through the corridor, which was starting to fill up. Suddenly, she bumped into someone, gripping her phone tightly to prevent it from falling. Arianna looked up and met Sharon's furious gaze, quickly offering an apology. Sharon shoved her aside, nearly causing Arianna to stumble, but Dorothy appeared just in time to steady her. "I said I was sorry; the pushing was unnecessary," Arianna said, and Sharon scoffed in response. "How dare you talk back to me? Clearly, you haven't been taught how things work around here. Freshmen need to show respect to the upperclassmen if they want to stick around!" Sharon retorted, stepping closer, but Veronica intervened, positioning herself between Arianna and Sharon. To everyone's surprise, Sharon merely rolled her eyes and walked away. "Come on, girls," Veronica said, taking Dorothy and Arianna by the arms and leading them away. "That's Sharon, a senior and my friend," she explained. "You're a senior?" Arianna asked, her eyes wide with disbelief. "Yep, Nessa is too, and we're in the same department," Veronica confirmed. "Then we should probably start calling you big sis," Dorothy joked. "I'll lose it if anyone calls me that; it makes me feel ancient," Veronica replied with a laugh. "The f***o house is throwing an outdoor party tonight. Would you like to come? It’s technically not for freshmen, but I can get you both in," Veronica invited. "Seriously? I love parties! Count me in!" Dorothy exclaimed, bouncing with excitement. "What about you, Ari? Don’t turn this down!" "Okay, fine, I’m in too." "Great! We should get ready since we have a few hours left," Veronica said, and they all laughed as they continued their tour. [6:00 PM HOSTEL] The girls were busy getting ready for the party. Everyone, including Nessa, was dressing up for the Rizz House event. Arianna chose a pair of casual shorts skirt and a simple top, layering it with a black jacket to cover up a bit. She opted for knee-length black boots that perfectly matched her outfit, giving her a vibe of a stylish assassin. She applied a touch of eyeliner, a light dusting of powder, and three choker necklaces around her neck. As she faced the others, she noticed they were all ready and just waiting for her. "Don't ask, you look super hot! I mean, sexy! I didn't know you had such a killer body," Veronica winked. She was in a slim gown and really tall heels, just like Nessa, but Dorothy wore a short, body-hugging dress that perfectly showcased her curves. "Don't you know my bestie is a sexy goddess? She just hides it all under those baggy tops and jeans. I'm so happy she's finally embracing her true self," Dorothy exclaimed, jumping up and hugging Arianna. "You look hot too! Why are you only praising me?" Arianna playfully pushed her away. "Come on, don’t be rude! I just love your entire outfit," Dorothy pouted. "Are you sure it's a good idea to bring these two with us? What if someone recognizes them as freshmen?" Nessa asked as she walked over to the door. "Oh, come on! With the way they're dressed, trust me, nobody's going to know. Let's go, girls!" Veronica winked, leading the way out. ______ It took them twenty minutes to arrive at the party. Arianna marveled at the building. Fazz House is known for fun, but how could a fun place be so big and beautiful? Not a single white light was in sight; all the surrounding lights were red. The house was already at its crumbling limit because of the ear-splitting music blaring from it, echoing off the ground and walls. "Wow! This is amazing! f**k!" Dorothy exclaimed. "Surprise, huh? It's owned by Richard Molland, the leader of the Fizz cult, and apparently, his father owns the school. That's why he can throw parties anytime," Veronica explained. "Wow! I never knew the kids of school owners could be this naughty," Arianna said, wagging her finger. "I'm off, girls. Just make sure you don't hook up with any final-year guys; they're all players," Nessa said before walking away. They stepped into the house together, and Arianna's eyes widened again at the crowd of students inside. The dance floor was already packed, but Arianna's attention was drawn to Jace, who was with two girls—one of them was the one who had pushed her earlier. They were at a chug table in a very intimate position, and one of the girls was kissing him so roughly, it looked like her life depended on it. Arianna felt her heart ache; she didn't understand why, but she hated seeing him in those positions with those girls. "Isn’t he so hot?" Veronica asked, wrapping her arm around Arianna's neck. "Who?" "The guy over there. His name is Jace Santiago. He’s the hottest and coolest guy on campus. We usually call him 'Psychopath' because when he gets mad, everything turns upside down. Every girl loves him, including me, but he won't even look my way. I don’t know what he sees in those two bitches, Sharon and Sza. They only have their bodies to offer," Veronica sneered. "Obviously a playboy, not my type," Arianna replied, smiling to mask her anger. ____ "I’ve got something new you might want to see," Sharon winked at Jace, taking off her top right there. She wasn’t wearing a bra, so as she pulled her singlet down, her breasts fell out. There were new expensive clamps on both n*****s. "Like what you see?" Sharon smiled, moving closer so he could touch. "Wow, that’s... sexy," he grinned, reaching out to touch her. "Ohh," Sharon moaned openly. "Jace, the race is about to begin. Are you in?" Levi announced, one of Jace's friends. "Sure," Jace replied, gulping down all his alcohol in one go. Levi took the mic from the DJ, drawing everyone's attention. "Hello, everyone! We’re kicking off this year’s campus events with a race! If you’re interested, it will start in just a few minutes!" The hall erupted with loud screams; everyone was excited for the bike racing, especially with the almighty Jace in the mix. They all walked toward the racing ground, cheering for their favorite racer, but Jace's name was the loudest, feeding his monstrous ego. Some had already placed bets on the winner. "I love Jace!" Sharon shouted from where she stood. The race began with the shot of a gun, and their bikes flew into action. As usual, Jace won, and the crowd screamed, carrying him like their god. "Like always, my Jace always wins. No one can defeat him," a girl muttered, causing Arianna to scoff nonchalantly. "I'll place ten thousand dollars. Anyone who can defeat me should step forward," Jace boasted loudly. "Of course, no one will dare..." Before Sza could finish, Arianna intervened. "I accept your challenge," Arianna declared, stepping into the spotlight, all eyes on her, especially admiring her confident figure. Jace laughed when he saw her. "Seriously, you?" he asked incredulously. "Yes. Are you scared I might take that king title from you?" Arianna teased. "You again, b***h! What makes you think you can defeat our one and only Biker King, Jace Santiago?" Sharon shouted. Arianna smirked, not backing down. "So many things. I'm going to place a bet. If you win, you get to grant one of your wishes, and if I win..." she paused, glancing around at everyone. "You will walk around the school and tell everyone how you lost to a girl," she finished. Jace smirked, stepping closer to her. "And if I win, I'm going to tie you to my bed and f**k you so hard that my name is the only one you remember," he said, watching her eyes widen before she masked her surprise with a proud look. "Let's see about that."
