“Don’t you look spiffy,” Gregg said when he opened the front door of his house. “Meaning I’m wearing slacks and a real shirt?” Spence replied, amused at the comment. “Yep.” Gregg had one hand behind his back as he stepped aside to let Spence in. Pulling it out, he handed Spence a bouquet of wild flowers. “Step one in redeeming myself,” he said. “You’re serious?” Spence took them, a huge smile on his face. “I’ve never had anyone give me flowers.” “I’m glad I’m the first.
