Chapter 13 Spence was past anxious and into panic. Two weeks after sending off his manuscript, he still hadn’t heard anything from Kelvin or his agent. His publisher was usually quick to offer a contract, which the agent would vet then pass on to Spence to sign. He hates it. It’s missing what Jeff always added to our stories and he can see that after one reading. Even being with Gregg every night didn’t help assuage his fears. If anything, it deepened them.
