Chapter 6 RADNTEL Access to the research-and-development laboratory of RadNtel was restricted to a selected team of engineers, all of whom reported directly to Kip. The underground laboratory was several hundred feet long and featured an open desk design to encourage the sharing of ideas. Workstations organized by project were sectioned off as pods to support small teams. Surrounding the center work areas were various rooms and enclaves brimming with equipment, computers, and gear. Kip sat in the center of the central work area at another one of his Swordfish workstations.
