Chapter 3

I am Damien Abelard Beaufort. You can call me a scientist wannabe, or a freak, perhaps? I was in my 25th last time I remembered. My dream is to become an inventor of 21st century. Shall we say famous? Nah, I’m never down to that really much. In the past, I have had read about Nikola Tesla and His noteworthy background of an intellectual genius. Unbelievable for me, even, as that man was never granted credits over His phenomenal breakthrough. Rumors and conspiracies beckoned about him and his illustrious findings. Yet, no cents poured to his pocket for a tribute. He died poor and a pity to become. Unless for most of petty crimes that His colleagues did against Tesla’s well-earned name, all that I could unearth is that person unexpectedly grows behind the curtain of others. I vowed never to relish myself underneath other person’s highly-earned positions and given them their crown. Yes, it is my throne, and they have nothing to put themselves on it otherwise. I have to become wealthy by dozens of creations in my life as an author, and no one else could managed to do such incredible feat unless for myself to become cautious and ready. “But then, where Am I now? Stuck in-between hazards of my own babies?” The old man yelled. ~beep-beep~ Chuck sees wires placed all over him. IV fluids streams inside lengthy and transparent tube for maintenance. Everything that occurred in that day was never a disguise for the old man’s body. He was heavily injured and ripped off down within. Lucky for him, vigorous attitude saves the day and brought him back to the living world in one piece. ~tap~ Lilia placed her hands on his chest and smiled,”Be calm, honey. I don’t know how you survived, but Thank God you’re still here with me.” She relieved a sigh,”I can’t run that farm without you.” So, the woman must be his wife. This potion is quite strong, I think. I aimed to time travel with my entire body, really, but all I have is my soul for some reason without the others in a whole. “Where am I, babe?” He answered, softly,”You can’t run anyway, though. That hips killed you as early as you could ever try.” My dad joke strikes again. I could only muster “Babe” for now. Time to go for some interview, then. Lilia looked at him dead cold into the eyes. Her way to perceive him in point-blank manners poised a tone of disbelief,”Wow. I’ve had myself waiting for that silly jokes in years, babe, where’ve you been?” She whispered. “Well, I was sitting inside the barn for quite some time. Must’ve been the cigars that caught me cold lately.” The old woman goes even more surprised. Her eyebrows raised up and goes towering against the mentioned items in his talk,”How did you know I hid some? Hey, you’re really a different person to me.” She muttered,”In a positive note, you know. Let’s set up a party and tried another of that expensive stuff together after you’ve recovered.” Oh, man. Just a wild guess and now I’ll be pleasured. To put more issues, I still haven’t retrieved any of her name in a way. Hopefully our chit-chat will brings me more into the brim somehow. --- ~beep-beep~ The old man has now riding the combined harvester for crops across the north. There are acres of corns awaited to be gathered. For Chuck, or Damien’s vessel in that respect, the machinery helped so much to reap everything along the way. He drives the vehicle in quite-gentle fashion to avoid destroying them all in the process. Drones has been working steadily in surveillance mode to search for fragile produces and collected information related to the crops on the ground. Of its conditions, age, amounts of nutrients required to be fully-grown, those were preserved carefully in order to provide perfect stature for each seeds afterwards.  And Chuck has only himself upon the seat to maintain. Thus, the old man contemplates. Unknowingly to me, Chuck’s original knowledge has given me an upper hand towards every stuff He owned in this field. No lessons required and I’m already capable of driving this insane truck with ease. Frankly speaking, it’s the personal life of this man that were still blurry, Did his actual soul brought them away? I have to obtain more facts in that regard.
