The old man opted to roam the hospital instead of lingering idle in the lobby. Diana was afraid of him, that the receptionist was going on to perceive at him a number of chances by the time she was walking away. The woman seems suspicious enough to make him feel discomfort whenever those eyes ventures across his direction. Her eyes settled judgments that counter-act with the truth, feels like the woman has learned everything from scratch to bring her own conclusion afterwards.
As if an issue was happened between Chuck and Lilia, then the old man himself was a forbidden attendee in this situation.
If I chase her up, Diana will get startled. There are no other options than to do just that, though. I could maintain my distance and remembering details of her whereabouts. The hospital is never crowded, but still running wild by patients to make its employees wander around. I could use it to conceal myself within the business hour whilst pinning towards Diana at the same time.
Let’s go.
The old man bends forward. Diana was in stride a few meters ahead of him. Quite expeditious and rapid, she is, that Chuck increases his own walking speed to maintain reasonable distance behind. He shrinks in-between visitors when Diana peeked to the rear. Sometimes, the old man pretends to sit down for camouflage if no people is around.
Wow, it’s pretty much at the end of the world. Dr. Stone should be existed in this hospital, right? Or it’s somewhat a code name for another person to look after?
After the old man’s pursuit parade, Diana stopped. She opens the blue-tinted door and going inside in an instant. It has white PVC blinds fitted to the window facing the corridor. Unfortunately, the doctor has them all shuttered down before Chuck could manage on peeping into the room.
“I’ll surely be damned. What should I do?” the old man murmured,” I suppose the only option is to wait.”
Before strolling to hidden but observable area on the corridor, the old man approaches the door frame. He rubs the silver plate upon the wooden surface to see up close. Name of “Dr. Stone” is carved on them to notify any guest about its occupant, “Ah, indeed Dr. Stone is inbound.” He muttered.
“Who’s outside?”
Sounds bold from the inside. A man becomes aware of his presence beyond the blue door. Either Diana has told him about the old man’s inquisitiveness around him or the doctor himself sees a shadow in front of the chamber.
No way for Chuck to stay and regret. The old man should think fast before someone catches him lull about in such ill-advised position. Lilia would be upset for her man’s action against. Even if she is never indoors to begin with, the woman could always be informed of his sickened approach and being in tears because of it.
” Is that Dr. Stone?” The old man mumbled,” Can’t be sitting here to find out.”
Chuck observes his surroundings to locate a prime hiding spot for the escape. A pair of peace lilies at the side will never support him as it is too small for his muscular physique. A hundred eighty in terms of height, the old man has only several alternatives around the block for a quick stowaway.
Two metal chairs never sustain his attempt anyway. No matter what, the old man would never be fit to mask himself below the seat. Seven meters across for the nearest intersection at the north. However, the old man would be too late to veil himself in the shadows regardless. Diana should have Chuck’s own back side visual printed safely within her mind.
Or else, the old man could pretend to be a visitor for another room. Nobody halts a visiting family to interrupt with their presumptions in the head. However, an imminent risk for unpleasant meeting is at hand. There are possibilities for deathbed patients in the room, and his unintended presence would interrupt their family’s sorrow to take place.
Think, Damien, think!
Coincidentally for the old man and his mischievous deed, toilets were built only a meter away from his standing position at the moment. Men should turn to the left side ones with no-triangle under the torso, and women must choose the opposite to lay a dump on this site.
“That’s it.”
The old man has no other seconds to spare. Three hops needed for him reaching such place, even sliding should become faultless preference to make onwards. No other visitors around him that was ready to disrupt his sole gamble of a breakout. If there is one, somehow, the old man would still carry on to his own issue in any case.
Even his elbow was sharpened to shove an obstacle away.
Without further ado, Chuck selected the left side for his scenario, then swiftly arrive in the small cubicle to lock the door down shortly after.
And it is the time for him to lay off for a while. The old man drops his pants, putting the bottom to kiss the toilet mouth, then pulling out his phone for passing more than an hour inside the box,” I’ll have to be here for at least half an hour. It’ won’t be good getting caught after taking myself to go here in some ways.” He whispered to himself.
~beep-beep~
Lilia’s number is at the top of his message list. Two o’clock in the afternoon, ten minutes before his grand chase with Diana for the primary target, a letter was sent directly to his phone.
“What is this?”
